TEN TE Jonnu Smith - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Indianapolis Colts
Jonnu Smith failed to record a single target last week, though he did get a rushing attempt for four yards. With Delanie Walker now on injured reserve, he's the main tight end in Tennessee. But after a good start with Ryan Tannehill in the lineup, his production has gone down in each of the past four weeks. Smith isn't someone who should be used as more than a TE2 this week.

TEN TE Jonnu Smith - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Jonnu Smith got six targets his last time out prior to the bye, but had four catches for 30 yards. And now, it looks like Delanie Walker could be coming back. The Jaguars have been reasonably good against the tight end this season and Smith could see his usage go down. That's not a good combination.

TEN TE Jonnu Smith - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Jonnu Smith was targeted five times last week against Carolina but managed just 18 yards against one of the better TE defenses in the league. This week's opponent, Kansas City, is not that. In fact, only two teams have allowed more than the 58 tight end receptions the Chiefs have this season. Use Smith as a TE1 play this week and hope he gets into the end zone.

TEN TE Jonnu Smith - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Carolina Panthers
In two games subbing for Delanie Walker, Jonnu Smith has caught nine passes for 142 yards and a touchdown on just 10 targets. That includes a line of 6-78-1 last week. Carolina, however, has allowed just 34 receptions for 308 yards and two touchdowns to the position this year. Smith is a nice prospect and could be pushing Walker aside, but keep your expectations tempered this week, despite his strong performance the past couple of weeks.

TEN TE Jonnu Smith - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
It's taken a while, but Jonnu Smith is starting to pay some dividends with Delanie Walker hurting. Smith caught three passes for 64 yards last week and played 53 snaps. It looks like Walker will be out again this week, so Smith could be a nice bye week fill-in or even worth a flier against a Tampa Bay defense that is 31st in the league defending the position.

TEN TE Jonnu Smith - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Jonnu Smith had two catches for 29 yards last week in a tough matchup against the Jets. Now he gets a much easier matchup against the Jaguars, who have been stingy to opposing receivers, allowing a league-low seven touchdowns to wideouts. They have, however, seven touchdown catches to opposing tight ends, so there's some hope here. Smith is worth a shot as a bit of a swing for the fences if you don't have a solid TE1 play.

TEN TE Jonnu Smith - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. N.Y. Jets

Jonnu Smith has been a viable fantasy starter in each of the past four games, including last week when he caught two passes for 63 yards and a score. Marcus Mariota's uptick in production has coincided with Smith's emergence, so don't expect the Titans to ignore him as they did early in the season. That said, the Jets have been one of the best defenses against tight ends this season. Smith has scored in three of his past four games, but has more than three targets in just one game this season. Buyer beware.
