Scouting report

MIN WR Jordan Addison - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Green Bay Packers

The bad news is that Jordan Addison only had 35 yards last week against the Seahawks. The good news is he has touchdowns in five of his last eight games, including the hat trick against the Falcons in Week 14. In Week 4 against the Packers, when Addison returned from injury, he caught three passes for 72 yards and a touchdown. With all the attention teams have to give Justin Jefferson, Addison will continue to have opportunities to take advantage of potential one-on-one matchups. Addison has been good for at least a handful of catches each week as well. Even in a tough matchup on paper against the Packers, there's enough volume here to make Addison a strong WR2 option.

MIN WR Jordan Addison - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Seattle Seahawks

While Jordan Addison didn't reach over 100 yards, he secured another seven catches last week against the Bears. That's three games out of four with at least seven catches. Addison is on a nice streak of late and will look to keep that going this week against the Seahawks and their strong secondary with Devon Witherspoon and Riq Woolen. But the trust between Addison and quarterback Sam Darnold has continued to grow -- 21 targets in the last two weeks. There's enough volume here to make Addison a WR2 this week and trustworthy in the fantasy semifinals.

MIN WR Jordan Addison - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Chicago Bears

Jordan Addison's last three games? Just 20 catches for 349 yards and four touchdowns after his 8-133-3 line last week against the Falcons. One of those three games came against the Bears, when Addison caught eight passes for 162 yards and a touchdown. The Vikings' offense is rolling and Addison has been a major part of that. Addison has moved up into WR2 territory heading into the playoffs. Chicago, overall, tends to have a solid secondary, but Addison's momentum is hard to ignore.

MIN WR Jordan Addison - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Atlanta Falcons

It was another solid day for Jordan Addison, who is on a nice little roll of late. He has seen at least five targets in five straight games and has hit 50 yards in three straight games. Look for that momentum to continue against the Falcons and their 21st-ranked passing defense. Atlanta has also allowed 21 passing touchdowns in 12 games. With the attention they'll give Justin Jefferson, Addison will have potential to find the end zone for the 4th time in six games.

MIN WR Jordan Addison - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Arizona Cardinals

While the Bears took care of Justin Jefferson, they had no answer for Jordan Addison. The young receiver broke out with 162 yards on eight catches with a touchdown for the second week in a row and third out of four. Addison looks to be getting his groove back. He's the running mate now to Jefferson and if teams are going to try and eliminate JJ from the gameplan, Addison will be there to clean things up. Addison is a nice flex option his week against the Cardinals, the league's 20th-ranked defense.

MIN WR Jordan Addison - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Chicago Bears

Jordan Addison caught three passes for 61 yards and a touchdown. He also momentarily left Sunday's game against the Titans with a cramping issue. It was Addison's first game with over 50 receiving yards since Week 7 and only his third such game this season. The Bears are allowing less than 200 passing yards per game and rank 8th in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers. Addison is a borderline WR3 this week.

MIN WR Jordan Addison - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Tennessee Titans

It's been a quiet stretch recently for Jordan Addison. He has three straight games with less than 50 yards and nine catches (13 targets) in that time. And with T.J. Hockenson just about fully back in the mix, Addison could take a backseat to him in the pecking order. The Titans have been very solid against the pass so the ceiling, and maybe even the floor, are pretty low for Addison. He's a very deep option.
