Scouting report

HOU TE Jordan Thomas - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Philadelphia Eagles

Sixteen of Deshaun Watson’s 22 completions last Saturday in the win over the Jets were to DeAndre Hopkins and Demaryius Thomas. Jordan Thomas finished with just a two-yard reception on his only target. It’s advised you look elsewhere for your starting TE, even though he’ll be facing the league’s second worst D versus the pass.

HOU TE Jordan Thomas - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at New York Jets

Jordan Thomas had another productive game versus the Colts last Sunday, registering four passes for 31 yards. In the past two weeks, the rookie has collected seven of his career 18 receptions and his big frame continues to make him a nice red zone target. However, there has to be a more consistent TE for you to start this week.

HOU TE Jordan Thomas - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Indianapolis Colts

In the win over the Browns last week Jordan Thomas caught three passes for 32 yards and scored the Texans only offensive TD. It was his fourth score of the season on just 14 total receptions. He was held without a catch in the first meeting with the Colts, so be cautious about starting him in the rematch.

HOU TE Jordan Thomas - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Tennessee Titans

With Deshaun Watson passing for just over 200 yards in the win over the Redskins last week, Jordan Thomas finished with only an 11-yard reception. The run-oriented offense has been effective lately, limiting Thomas’ looks. It’s advised he remains on your bench for the Monday night matchup.

HOU TE Jordan Thomas - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Washington Redskins

Jordan Thomas made the most of his one reception two weeks ago in Denver, scoring a seven-yard TD. While it was his third TD in the past two contests, Deshaun Watson has some talented WRs to pass to in DeAndre Hopkins, Demaryius Thomas and Keke Coutee. Jordan Thomas should only be started if you’re thin at TE.

HOU TE Jordan Thomas - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Denver Broncos

Snagging two TDs last Thursday versus Miami is certainly a way to get noticed. Jordan Thomas came into the contest with only four catches for 91 yards on the season but doubled his reception total to eight and registered his first two career scores. While the rookie from Mississippi State has a favorable matchup on Sunday at Denver against the No. 22 overall defense, Thomas should only be started if you’re limited on TE options.
