2022 Fantasy Upside
Josh Allen has justified his rise in the fantasy quarterback rankings based on the fact he was a dual-threat quarterback who gave you Tier 1 passing stats and rushing stats that make him one of the biggest threats at the position with his legs. Allen eclipsed 4,400 passing yards for the second straight season and had a career-high 763 rushing yards. He did have a career-low 6 rushing touchdowns but Allen is one of just 10 players with 30+ rushing touchdowns since 2018.
2022 Fantasy Downside
Not much downside here. He did throw a career-high 15 interceptions. His overall rating was slightly lower than 2020 and his offensive line could play better. He did gain a better running back in the draft but his receiving corps is not as deep as last season.
2022 Bottom Line
Allen has always been a strong fantasy quarterback since his rookie season and now he is considered one of the top quarterbacks on the field and the No. 1 fantasy quarterback according to all formats in 4for4. Allen is definitely worth taking in the third round and if your league is quarterback heavy, it would be plausible to take him late in the second round.
