LAC QB Justin Herbert - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Detroit Lions

Week 9 was not a banner week for Justin Herbert, who managed a meager 7.1 fantasy points against the Jets. Herbert was the QB25 for the week, a far cry from his seasonal averages of 22.26 points and a QB3 average in points per game. Herbert has struggled since Mike Williams was lost for the season. With Williams in the lineup this season, Herbert averaged 312 passing yards and two touchdowns per game. Without him, these numbers drop to 217 and 1.4.

Week 10 is another tricky matchup, as the Detroit Lions await the Chargers. The Lions rank 19th in aFPA to quarterbacks this season, but this game should be something of a shootout, which should keep Herbert in the top-end QB1 conversation by the time the games are over.

LAC QB Justin Herbert - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at New York Jets

In what was a topsy turvy week on the quarterback streets, Justin Herbert managed to put together a good showing for his fantasy managers. He finished the week as the QB7, just a little way off his season long form of QB4. Herbert racked up 298 passing yards and delivered his first game with three touchdown passes since Week 3. That was also the most recent game for Herbert with zero interceptions before Week 8.

There is no tougher matchup for fantasy quarterbacks than the New York Jets at present, with Robert Salah’s charges ranking first in aFPA to the position in 2023. It won’t be a stroll in the park for Herbert, but he should be safely viewed as a mid-tier QB1 option this week.

LAC QB Justin Herbert - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Chicago Bears

Week 8 was a disappointing one for Justin Herbert, in real life and fantasy. He managed 259 yards and a touchdown, but he threw two picks (giving him four in his last three games) on his way to 10.9 fantasy points. This was enough to finish as the QB21. Herbert was fantasy football's best quarterback earlier this season, but he is down to QB5 in points per game after seven weeks.

Herbert has one hell of a bounceback spot this week against the Chicago Bears. The Bears rank 25th in aFPA to quarterbacks, giving Herbert one of the best matchups of any quarterback in Week 8. He should return to top-12 airspace this week.

LAC QB Justin Herbert - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Kansas City Chiefs

Justin Herbert's 227 yards and two touchdowns masked what was a pretty ordinary performance from the Chargers QB. But they helped propel his fantasy output, with Herbert scoring 18.6 fantasy points and finishing as the QB5 in Week 6. Herbert is the QB1 in fantasy points per game at the QB position.

Herbert has one of the toughest matchups across the league in Week 7 with the Chargers taking on the Chiefs. The Chiefs are ranked third in aFPA to quarterbacks this season. Herbert will have his work cut out for him if he wants to extend his run of tossing at least three touchdowns in every game he has played at Arrowhead, but he can still be viewed as a top-six option at the quarterback spot this week.

LAC QB Justin Herbert - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Dallas Cowboys

Through four games of the 2023 season, no quarterback has more fantasy points per game than Justin Herbert. Herbert is averaging 276.5 passing yards and 23.9 fantasy points per game, with seven passing touchdowns and a solitary interception.

It won't be easy for Herbert to carry on his torrid start to the season in Week 6 with a clash against the Cowboys on the slate. The Cowboys rank 10th in aFPA to quarterbacks this season. Still, Herbert should be able to produce some decent numbers, and it would be foolish to expect less than a mid-tier QB1 outing this week.

LAC QB Justin Herbert - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Las Vegas Raiders

What a week for Justin Herbert against the Vikings in Week 3. Herbert completed a staggering 40 of his 47 attempts on his way to a career-high 405 passing yards with three touchdowns to boot. He also carried the ball twice, but only for 11 yards. Herbert finished top of the QB tree in terms of fantasy points and is the overall QB1 in fantasy points per game after three weeks of the season.

There is a good chance of the good times continuing in Week 4 as Herbert takes on the Raiders. The Raiders have positively welcomed fantasy points against them through the air this season, and rank 25th in aFPA to quarterbacks. If you have Herbert on any fantasy roster, set and forget.

LAC QB Justin Herbert - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Minnesota Vikings

Justin Herbert had a decent fantasy outing in Week 2, despite being unable to prevent the Chargers from falling to 0-2 on the young season. Herbert completed 27 of his 41 pass attempts for 305 yards and two touchdowns, posting 22.2 Half PPR points. Only nine quarterbacks scored more a week ago, and after two weeks Herbert sits at QB3.

Herbert has a matchup to die for in Week 3 as the Chargers take on the leaky Vikings defense. We should expect a solid QB1 outing from the Chargers quarterback in what could be one of the best shootouts on the slate.
