LAC QB Justin Herbert - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Las Vegas Raiders

That was more like it from Justin Herbert in Week 12 against the Cardinals. Herbert threw 47 times, completing 35 of the attempt for 274 yards and three touchdowns. It was his first three-touchdown outing since Week 2, and his first game without an interception since Week 5. Herbert managed an impressive 28.8 fantasy points, good for QB3 last week.

There seems to be little to stop Herbert from building on this form in Week 13. The Las Vegas Raiders rank 31st in aFPA to quarterbacks, allowing almost 265 passing yards and 1.7 touchdowns per game. Herbert should be among the leading quarterback point scorers again this week.

LAC QB Justin Herbert - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Arizona Cardinals

Justin Herbert had one of his strongest statistical games of the 2022 season against the Chiefs in Week 11. Herbert posted a season-high 76.7 completion rate, with 23 of his 30 passes going for 280 yards and two touchdowns. Herbert did throw an interception for the fifth game in a row, and also absorbed a season-high five sacks. Herbert amassed 19.2 fantasy points and finished as the QB11 in Week 11.

Herbert has a pretty good matchup in store in Week 12 as the Chargers take on the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals rank 26th in aFPA to quarterbacks this season. Herbert projects to be a mid-tier QB1 this week.

LAC QB Justin Herbert - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs Kansas City Chiefs

Week 10 saw another dispiriting performance from Justin Herbert. He completed 21 of his 35 pass attempts, but could only amass a paltry 196 yards. He tossed one touchdown and one interception, his fourth straight game with a pick. It was also the fourth game in a row in which Herbert averaged less than six yards per attempt. Herbert managed 12 fantasy points, finishing as the QB24 in Week 10. He's the current QB14 in points per game in 2022.

Herbert will look to finally get right against the Chiefs in Week 11, the team he dropped one of his two 300-yard outings this season on back in Week 2. That game was also the last time Herbert managed three touchdown passes in a game. The Chiefs rank 28th in aFPA to quarterbacks this season, so this time it counts for Herbert. We have him ranked as a low-end QB1 this week.

LAC QB Justin Herbert - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at San Francisco 49ers

Justin Herbert was efficient if not explosive in the Chargers' Week 9 win over the Falcons. He completed almost 70% of his passes, going 30/43 for 245 yards and a touchdown. He also threw an interception for the third straight game. Herbert has been held to under 300 yards in each of his last four games, and he has only passed for two touchdowns in a game once in this span. Herbert scored 12.1 fantasy points last week, good for a QB17 finish.

Things might not improve too much for Herbert this week against the 49ers. Demeco Ryans' charges rank 10th in aFPA to quarterbacks this season. You should probably view Herbert as a low-end QB1 this week. Especially if he is once again without Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, not to mention right tackle Trey Pippins.

LAC QB Justin Herbert - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Atlanta Falcons

After the Chargers' bye, Justin Herbert is having an OK season. He currently ranks fifth with 2,009 passing yards and tied for seventh with 12 touchdown passes. Herbert is averaging 17.3 fantasy points per game, good for QB11, but has only exceeded his average once in his last five games.

Herbert will look to kick off the second act of his season with a big game against the Falcons. The Falcons rank 31st in aFPA allowed to quarterbacks this season. Herbert should be a top-12 scorer this week, even if he has to go in without Keenan Allen and Mike Williams.

LAC QB Justin Herbert - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs Seattle Seahawks

It was a weird week for Justin Herbert in Week 6 in the Chargers' win over the Broncos. Herbert attempted 57 passes, completing 37 of them for 238 yards and an interception. The 57 scoreless attempts were the most in a win for any quarterback in NFL history. He mustered just 8.4 fantasy points, finishing as the QB24 in Week 6. After six weeks, Herbert is the overall QB9 in points per game.

Herbert will look to return to fantasy relevance in Week 7 against the Seahawks. They rank 25th in aFPA to quarterbacks and are allowing 245 passing yards per game. Herbert should return to the top-12 tier of fantasy quarterbacks this week.

LAC QB Justin Herbert - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Denver Broncos

Week 5 was a solid if unspectacular week for Justin Herbert. He completed 22 of his 34 pass attempts for a season-low 228 yards and a touchdown. Herbert did rush five times for 13 yards, both season highs, but he managed just 14.4 fantasy points, finishing as the QB17.

Herbert faces a tough matchup in Week 6 against the Denver Broncos, who currently ranked 7th in aFPA to quarterbacks. But Herbert has done well in his career against the Broncos, averaging 268 passing yards and a pair of scores in four games against them. He's a top 12 option this week.
