MIN WR Justin Jefferson - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs Steelers

Justin Jefferson is on an incredible run right now, catching 32-of-44 targets for 577 yards and three touchdowns in his last four games. The second-year superstar wideout now has 78 catches for 1,209 yards and seven touchdowns, ranking as WR3 in half-PPR per game. Jefferson is an elite WR1 in fantasy football.

He goes up against a Steelers defense that ranks 25th in Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points per Game to wideouts, so we can likely expect Jefferson to keep the good times rolling. Adam Thielen looks likely to miss this game, which puts Jefferson in line for a massive target share. Jefferson should shred this secondary.

MIN WR Justin Jefferson - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Lions

Justin Jefferson has now combined for 21 receptions, 395 yards, and two touchdowns in his last three games. He now has 67 catches for 1,027 yards and six touchdowns on the season. Simply put, this is an alpha WR1 who needs to be considered as a Top-5 fantasy wideout moving forward. He has the ideal combination of target hog with big-play ability.

Jefferson goes up against a Lions defense that ranks 17th in schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game. They are allowing 9.23 yards per target to wide receivers, which is the second-highest in the NFL. The last time these two teams played, Jefferson had seven receptions for 124 yards. We could see him go off this week.

MIN WR Justin Jefferson - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at 49ers

Justin Jefferson has been an absolute monster over the last two weeks, catching 17-of-21 targets for 312 yards and two touchdowns. This coincides with comments from the team, stating that they needed to get Jefferson more involved right before the Chargers game two weeks ago. It's great to see Minnesota feeding their young alpha superstar wideout.

Jefferson goes up against a 49ers defense that ranks 8th in schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to wideouts, so the matchup is tough. However, Jefferson is matchup-proof given his high target share and deep average target depth. He's the total package at wide receiver and needs to be considered a WR1 every week.

MIN WR Justin Jefferson - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Packers

Justin Jefferson currently is tied for ninth in expected fantasy points per game, which demonstrates that he's in a fantastic role on a team with a condensed target share. Jefferson is coming off a good game against a tough Chargers pass defense, catching 9-of-11 targets for 143 yards.

This is a tough matchup against a Packers defense that ranks 5th in schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game, but Jefferson's volume (24.31% target share) and role (41.9% air yard share) help make him matchup-proof. We still need to consider him as a WR1 in this spot.

MIN WR Justin Jefferson - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Chargers

Justin Jefferson scored a 50-yard touchdown against the Ravens last week, but other than that it was a slow week, as he finished with three receptions for 69 yards and a touchdown. Jefferson now has four Top-12 finishes in his last six games, but only one Top-5 finish during that span. He's still a weekly WR1, but he hasn't ascended to that elite tier just yet.

Jefferson goes up against a Chargers defense that ranks 2nd in aFPA to wide receivers, so this is a tough matchup. Having said that, Jefferson has the volume (23.45% target share) and role (12.1 aDOT) to make big plays downfield and finish as a Top-12 option despite the tough matchup. You also have to love the game environment here.

MIN WR Justin Jefferson - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Ravens

Justin Jefferson was disappointing in a good matchup against the Cowboys, limited to only two receptions for 21 yards. However, he was getting it done prior to that game, combining for 30 receptions, 406 yards, and two touchdowns in his previous four games. Look for Jefferson to bounce back this week.

He goes up against a Ravens defense that ranks 6th in aFPA to wideouts, but they just got burned by Ja'Marr Chase for eight receptions, 201 yards, and a touchdown. Jefferson excels at beating man coverage and should be able to get loose downfield against this secondary. We could also see a more pass-heavy game script here, which also bodes well for Jefferson.

MIN WR Justin Jefferson - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Cowboys

Jefferson is an every-week WR1 with terrific usage, putting up a 41% air yard share (6th) and 25.76% target share (13th). He's racked up double-digit targets in three of his last five games. He's also put up 80+ yards in four consecutive games, including two 100-yard performances. Jefferson looks poised for a strong second half.

He goes up against a Cowboys defense that ranks 29th in aFPA to wide receivers, so this is an absolute smash spot. Dallas is giving up 9.05 yards per target to wideouts, which ranks tied for 26th in the league. There's a good chance that Jefferson can get loose downfield in this spot, giving him one of the highest ceilings this week.
