LAC WR Keenan Allen - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Oakland Raiders
In Week 15, Allen played 94% of snaps, had nine receptions on ten targets for 99 scoreless yards, a very nice 69 air yards, 26% of the team targets, and 20% of the team air yards.

Oakland’s defense is eleventh worst against wide receivers, per our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. 4for4 rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Allen ranked as a low-end half PPR WR1. The Chargers are implied for 26.25 points, which means Allen could easily hit pay dirt in PPR leagues.

LAC WR Keenan Allen - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Minnesota Vikings
In Week 14, Allen played 67% of snaps, finished with five receptions on six targets for 83 scoreless yards, 35 air yards, 22% of the team targets, and 13% of the team air yards. Allen finished with the most yardage since his 183-yard performance against the Texans in Week 3.

The blueprint to beating the Vikings defense is through the passing game. They are the fourth-worst defense against wide receivers but eighteenth best against running backs, as shown by our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. 4for4’s rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Allen ranked as a low-end half PPR WR1. Allen will continue to benefit from a narrow passing distribution alongside Mike Williams and Hunter Henry. These three receiving threats accounted for 93% of the team targets in Week 14.

LAC WR Keenan Allen - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Jacksonville Jaguars
Allen has scored a touchdown in back-to-back games for the first time this season. In Week 13, Allen finished with six receptions on six targets for 68 yards and one touchdown.

On paper, this game sets up better for Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler because the Jaguars defense is a run funnel. However, Allen has shown he is always a threat to produce good fantasy numbers. The Jaguars are the 12th-best defense against wide receivers, as shown by our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. 4for4’s rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Allen ranked as a high-end half PPR WR2.

LAC WR Keenan Allen - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Denver Broncos
In Week 11, Allen found the end zone for the first time since his two-touchdown performance against the Houston Texans in Week 3. The Chargers had a bye in Week 12.

Points might be limited in this game because it has the second-lowest over/under (38.5) of the week. The Broncos are the tenth best defense against wide receivers, as shown by our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. 4for4’s rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Allen ranked as a low-end half PPR WR2 in a difficult matchup.

LAC WR Keenan Allen - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Kansas City Chiefs (Mexico City)
Keenan Allen topped 55 receiving yards for the first time since his monster performance in Week 3 against the Texans when he caught 13 passes for 183 yards and two touchdowns. In Week 10, he had eight receptions on 11 targets, 68 yards, 118 air yards, 35% of the team targets, 30% of the team air yards, and finished as the half PPR WR22.

Allen hasn’t found the end zone since Week 3 but will look to change things around on Monday Night in Mexico City. With the assumption of rational coaching, the Chargers will try to beat the Chiefs with the running game. However, if the Chargers are down multiple touchdowns early, they might be forced to abandon their game plan and turn Philip Rivers loose in the passing game. This game has the highest over/under (52.5) of the week. The Chiefs defense is seventh-best against wide receivers, as shown by our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. 4for4’s rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Allen ranked as a low-end half PPR WR1 in Week 11.

LAC WR Keenan Allen - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Oakland Raiders
Keenan Allen hasn’t had more than 55 receiving yards since his monster performance in Week 3 against the Texans when he caught 13 passes for 183 yards and two touchdowns. In Week 9, he had three receptions on four targets, 40 yards, 57 air yards, 14% of the team targets, 25% of the team air yards, and finished as the half PPR WR56.

Allen has had a string of bad performances but he will look to break his streak against the Raiders who are third-worst against wide receivers, per our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. This game has a decent over/under (48.5) and Allen would benefit from this game turning into a shoot-out. 4for4’s rankings expert John Paulsen has Allen ranked as a low-end half PPR WR1 in Week 10.

LAC WR Keenan Allen - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs Green Bay Packers
In Week 8, Allen was questionable to play with a hamstring injury but gutted it out for a half PPR WR36 finish. He had seven receptions on 10 targets, 53 yards, 88 air yards, 34% of the team targets, and 34% of the team air yards.

Green Bay is the eighth-best defense against wide receivers, as shown by our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. 4for4 rankings expert, John Paulsen, has Allen ranked as a high-end half PPR WR2. The matchup is difficult but Allen did show up near the bottom of Josh Hermsmeyer’s buy low air yards model for the second week in a row.
