Bears WR Keenan Allen on track to return Week 4

Good news for the #Bears: Veteran WR Keenan Allen, who has missed the last couple games with a heel injury, is back at practice today on a limited basis. He's tracking to return this week if all goes well.

Fantasy Impact:

Allen came in and led them team in target share in Week 1, but Caleb Williams had a rough day at the office in his NFL premiere. Allen should regain that role as a low-aDOT target hog who is particularly valuable in PPR leagues as a WR3 with the upside for more.

Commanders RB Austin Ekeler heads to Virginia to treat concussion

Dan Quinn said Austin Ekeler went back to Virginia to treat his concussion. Also suffered a laceration in his ear. Quinn said he'll know more later in the week.

Fantasy Impact:

The Commanders are heading right to Arizona for a Week 4 game against the Cardinals instead of going back to Washington, according to reports. It's unclear if Ekeler would have cleared, or could still clear protocol. We may know more during the week, but owners should probably prepare to not have Ekeler for Week 4, which is a later afternoon game. Robinson should lead the way at RB with McNichols perhaps getting more touches if Ekeler doesn't play.

Chiefs sign RB Kareem Hunt to 53-man roster

The Chiefs have signed RB Kareem Hunt to their 53-man roster and waived RB Keontay Ingraham.

So, Hunt now figures into the RB rotation alongside Carson Steele and Samaje Perine.

Fantasy Impact:

Owners of any of the three RBs may have to take a wait-and-see approach as we head into Week 4. It seems like Hunt could end up eating into Steele's workload the most, but it all remains to be seen. Steele led the way in Week 3 with 17 carries to Perine's 6. Perine did have three receptions. But, It seems like Hunt could eat into any of those touches. Steele seems like the safest play among the three until we see more. The Chiefs are at the Chargers in Week 4.

Eagles place WR Britain Covey (shoulder) on IR

Philadelphia has placed receiver Britain Covey on injured reserve after he suffered a shoulder injury during Sunday’s win over New Orleans.

Covey had to exit the game in the first half and was unable to return. He has caught seven passes for 34 yards so far this season. He’s also returned one punt for 9 yards.

Fantasy Impact:

Normally this may not be big news but the Eagles were involving Covey over the last two weeks before his injury. The other reason to pay attention is Brown is dealing with a hamstring issue and is in question for Week 4 - as is Smith who is in concussion protocol. That leaves Dotson, Wilson and Campbell as - possibly - the Eagles top-three WRs heading into Week 4. Even if that's the case, look for Goedert and Barkley to be heavily involved against the Bucs. Brown does have a chance to play but it's another situation to monitor this week.
