Kenbrell Thompkins

As a result of Quincy Enunwa’s suspension, the Jets have an open roster spot to fill as they prepare to face the Patriots this week.

They’ve decided to fill it with a former member of the Patriots. According to multiple reports, the team will promote wide receiver Kenbrell Thompkins from their practice squad to return their roster to 53 players.

Thompkins signed with the Jets earlier this month after spending a few weeks on New England’s practice squad in his second stint with the team. Thompkins caught 32 passes for the Patriots as a rookie in 2013 and had six catches in two appearances with the team last year before winding up in Oakland after New England waived him a few weeks into the season.
