Fantasy Upside
The fantasy upside for Kyren Williams would have been a tougher case to make in the weeks right after the draft, but it appears from early in training camp he has a stranglehold on the majority of touches in this Rams offense. He was the RB4 by total points, but the RB2 by weekly average last season and even if cedes a few carries to Blake Corum it sounds he like is poised to retain the same role he had last season. It seems like head coach Sean McVay is determined to make him a workhorse back.
Fantasy Downside
The addition of Corum was originally viewed as a major negative for Williams, but as minicamps and the start of training camp have shown he isn't in Los Angeles to steal the lead-back role from Williams. That said, we still have a little to worry about. He's still going to lose some work to Corum and it's possible some of it could be around the goal line.
2024 Bottom Line
In best ball, we've seen Williams' ADP tank since the spring where he's down around pick 29. Into the third round, he seems like a strong buy. In redraft leagues where his ADP is around pick 15-21, it is a little tougher to swallow, but he's still a strong buy.
