Scouting report

STL TE Lance Kendricks - Week 11, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11: Kendricks vs. Broncos
Lance Kendricks caught two-of-two targets for 30 yards in the Rams’ Week 10 loss to the Cardinals. It was the second time in back-to-back games that Kendricks failed to catch a touchdown pass after recording a score in each of his previous three games. Because he’s not made a bigger part of the offense (he’s been targeted just 25 times this season), Kendricks is a touchdown-dependent fantasy player who should be avoided in all leagues.

STL TE Lance Kendricks - Week 10, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10: Kendricks vs. Cardinals
Lance Kendricks caught 1-of-2 targets for seven yards in the Rams’ Week 9 upset of the 49ers. It was the first time in three games that Kendricks failed to catch a touchdown pass, although that doesn’t mean he holds much fantasy value. His season-high for targets was seven in Week 3 but since then he’s never seen more than three targets in a given game. He has a limited role in the Rams’ meager passing game and should be avoided in fantasy formats.

STL TE Lance Kendricks - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9: Kendricks vs. 49ers
Lance Kendricks caught his lone target for a touchdown last week in the Rams’ Week 8 loss to the Chiefs. His touchdown came in the back of the end zone when the Rams were at the goal line and quarterback Austin Davis scrambled long enough to find the open tight end. Kendricks has now scored in three straight games but he hasn’t caught more than six passes or racked up more than 29 yards in a game this season. Despite the touchdown output this season, Kendricks isn’t featured enough in the Rams’ offense to be a trustworthy fantasy start. Avoid him for Week 9.

STL TE Lance Kendricks - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8: Kendricks vs. Chiefs
Lance Kendricks caught 2-of-3 targets for 17 yards and a touchdown in the Rams’ Week 7 win over the Seahawks. It was his second touchdown in back-to-back weeks and his third in the past four games, but he remains a TD-dependent start in fantasy leagues. Avoid him in all formats.

STL TE Lance Kendricks - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7: Kendricks vs. 49ers
Lance Kendricks caught one-of-two targets for 22 yards and a touchdown in the Rams’ Week 6 loss to the 49ers. Kendricks got behind San Francisco’s defense in the first quarter for an easy score but was quiet the rest of the night. He doesn’t see enough targets to be fantasy relevant and thus, he should remain on your waiver wire.

STL TE Lance Kendricks - Week 6, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6: Kendricks vs. 49ers
Lance Kendricks caught the lone pass that was thrown his way for a 22-yard gain in the Rams' Week 5 loss to the Eagles. Primarily a blocking tight end, Kendricks holds no fantasy value.

STL TE Lance Kendricks - Week 5, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5: Kendricks vs. Eagles
Lance Kendricks caught six of his seven targets for 29 yards in the Rams' Week 3 loss to the Cowboys. Despite the catch and target totals, Kendricks isn't a reliable fantasy option. Even if Austin Davis continues to target his tight ends in the passing game, Kendricks doesn't run enough deep routes to put up even marginal yardage numbers. Leave him on your waiver wire.
