The Dolphins cut Mark Walton.

Fantasy Impact:

Walton was taking over as the lead back before getting suspended for four games after three arrests last season. The Dolphins said they became aware of a police matter early Tuesday morning, and said they hold their players to a high standard. Walton was on a zero-tolerance policy. Ballage will likely continue to run as the team's main back.

Week 9 vs. New York Jets

With Kenyan Drake traded and Kalen Ballage being Kalen Ballage, Miami has turned to Mark Walton. This trend was inevitable as the Dolphins continued to give him more touches in recent weeks. In Week 8, Walton played 87% of the offensive snaps, which is the highest number for any Miami running back this season. He wasn't great, though, rushing 11 times for 35 yards and catching three passes for 19 yards. He should be better this week in a better matchup against the Jets, who are allowing the seventh-most fantasy points to running backs. Walton should be viewed as a solid RB2 who should get plenty of touches both on the ground and as a receiver.
