Scouting report

CHI WR Marquess Wilson - Week 13, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. San Francisco
When a new quarterback comes into a lineup, he often connects with a new favorite target. For Jay Cutler it was Alshon Jeffery, for Brian Hoyer it was Cameron Meredith and for Matt Barkley it appears to be Marquess Wilson.

Wilson missed the first 10 weeks due to an injury suffered in the offseason, and had just one catch in Week 11. But in Week 12, he was targeted 11 times and caught eight passes for 125 yards and a touchdown.

We're not sure we'll see that kind of production again, but Wilson does get a great matchup this week. He's a bit of a risk, as we've only seen one good game out of him so far, but he's got a high ceiling as a WR3 this week.

CHI WR Marquess Wilson - Week 13, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. San Francisco
Eddie Royal is projected to miss another game, which means Marquess Wilson is in line for another start. It should be noted Wilson is dealing with an injury of his own that he suffered Wednesday in practice. He sat out practice on Thursday.

Assuming Wilson plays, he won't be a very strong option. With Alshon Jeffery, Matt Forte and Martellus Bennett healthy again, there's just not much room in the offense for Wilson. He's a poor option this week.

CHI WR Marquess Wilson - Week 12, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Green Bay
Marquess Wilson caught four balls for 102 yards last week as he shot up the depth chart with Alshon Jeffery and Eddie Royal sidelined with injuries. Wilson is only fantasy relevant when those guys sit, which is expected to happen again this week. Wilson won't put up elite numbers like Jeffery, but he becomes an interesting option this week. He's likely a guy who is available on waivers if you need someone in a pinch. He should be viewed as a WR3 with upside.

CHI WR Marquess Wilson - Week 11, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Denver
Marquess Wilson has caught one pass in three consecutive games. Even with Eddie Royal out of the lineup, Wilson is essentially a non-factor. On top of everything else, Wilson has a brutal matchup this week. He's not a serious option.

CHI WR Marquess Wilson - Week 10, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs St. Louis

As expected, Marquess Wilson didn't have a large role last week, even with Matt Forte and Eddie Royal sidelined. He came away with just one reception for 15 yards, despite playing 85 percent of the Bears offensive snaps.

Wilson could have some value this week if Alshon Jeffery sits out with an injury. The Bears No. 1 receiver tweaked his groin and missed practice Thursday. If Jeffery plays, Wilson is a weak option.

CHI WR Marquess Wilson - Week 9, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at San Diego
The only game where Marquess Wilson had a lot of success this season was with Alshon Jeffery and Eddie Royal both out. Royal should be out this week, but expect Jeffery and Martellus Bennett to get most of the targets as a result. Wilson should have some success, but enough to make him a great option. He should be viewed as a low WR3 or WR4.

CHI WR Marquess Wilson - Week 6, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Detroit

Marquess Wilson now has back-to-back games with six receptions and has finished with 80 yards and 85 yards, respectively. He filled in nicely last week as Alshon Jeffery and Eddie Royal sat out with injuries. Wilson was really the only receiver Jay Cutler had left.

He'll likely be called upon again to be the No. 1 option this week. Jeffery and Royal are both questionable, along with Josh Bellamy. This is a good matchup for Wilson and he should be able to take advantage. Assuming Jeffery and Royal sit out again, Wilson will be a strong WR2 or flex option this week.
