LAR QB Matthew Stafford - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Miami Dolphins

It turns out, that even if your top receiving weapon punches someone and gets ejected, Matthew Stafford can still put up a 300-yard game. Well, 298 yards, but hey, maybe he hits 300 if Puka Nacua doesn't get ejected. The offense is starting to click with everyone healthy and the arrow is pointing up on the Rams passing offense.

Stafford comes in at QB9 on the week despite a matchup against a tough Dolphins secondary that is 2nd aFPA against quarterbacks so far this season. The tough matchup shouldn't deter you away from Stafford in superflex. In standard leagues, it may be more of a question, but he's still a QB1 on the week.

LAR QB Matthew Stafford - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Seattle Seahawks

With his top two receivers returning from injury, Matthew Stafford re-entered the QB1 conversation. With a 279-yard, 4-touchdown performance against the Vikings, Stafford and the Rams offense is clicking again.

Now the Seahawks are on tap and they are 21st aFPA against quarterbacks this season. Even with Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp back, I don't think you can count on 4 touchdowns every week (especially with Nacua getting banged up on Friday), but the matchup is solid. Stafford is a back-end QB1 this week and is startable in standard leagues as well as Superflex.

LAR QB Matthew Stafford - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Minnesota Vikings

Matthew Stafford continues to play at a very high level given the lack of receiving talent around him, but that hasn't been translating to fantasy points even when he had healthy receivers. Thankfully, it sounds like Cooper Kupp will be back against the Vikings that is a boost for this Rams offense and potentially Puka Nacua, too.

Unfortunately, the Vikings are tough matchups against quarterbacks (11th aFPA) due to Brian Flores's blitz-heavy approach. Even with Kupp returning, a suboptimal matchup and Stafford's low-scoring recent history does not make for a great starting quarterback on a week with no byes. He's a borderline QB2 with likely better options elsewhere in standard leagues.

LAR QB Matthew Stafford - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Coming out of the bye for the Rams, Matthew Stafford has some good news as it looks like Cooper Kupp could be back as early as this week. Kupp is questionable, but that would be a home run for Stafford this week.

The Raiders are 28th aFPA against quarterbacks this year so the matchup is pristine for Stafford. We haven't seen much of a ceiling from late-career Stafford, but the matchup and the potential return of Kupp are enough to make him a mid-end QB2 this week with starter potential in superflex.

LAR QB Matthew Stafford - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs Green Bay Packers

Matthew Stafford isn't showing the fantasy ceiling we saw in his Detroit days and it certainly doesn't help his two star receivers continue to be out.

Stafford is a back-end QB2 this week and I might even feel better starting some of the quarterbacks ranked behind him in superflex. I certainly don't think he's an option in standard 1QB leagues.

LAR QB Matthew Stafford - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Chicago Bears

Matthew Stafford continues to make high-end plays, but fall short of high-end fantasy scoring with all of these offensive line and wide receiver injuries. Stafford is QB30 on the week and not on the fantasy radar.

LAR QB Matthew Stafford - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs San Francisco 49ers

Another week, another rash of injuries for everyone around Matthew Stafford. Between the offensive line and receiving rooms, it's carnage in Los Angeles. The Rams have already filled their eight IR slots and have a few others eligible who couldn't go on. All of this, plus coming off a rough week against Arizona, makes it difficult to start Stafford right now.

He's a back-end QB2 that is really tough to trust right now. Stafford is a desperation play in Superflex, but outside of that is really tough to trust even against a 49ers defense that gave up some big plays to the Vikings last week.
