Stafford got hit around in the Week 5 loss to the Packers, which came before their Week 6 bye. It sounds like Stafford is good to go, and the bye week came at the right time, but it's always something to monitor. Stafford is as tough as the come but also getting up there in age.

Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford was on the list of players dealing with injuries at head coach Sean McVay’s Monday press conference, but he isn’t expected to miss any game action.

McVay said that Stafford is dealing with back soreness after Sunday’s 24-19 loss to the Packers.

The Rams have a bye this week and McVay said that he expects Stafford to be a full participant in practice when they return for Week 7, the story said. Stafford was sacked three times and hit 10 times as well.

Rams head coach Sean McVay said that wide receiver Cooper Kupp and left guard Jonah Jackson are both set to miss extended time after suffering injuries in Sunday’s loss to the Cardinals. Kupp hurt his ankle and Jackson aggravated a shoulder injury.

We reported Monday that although things were quiet on both sides about a potential deal, Stafford was expected to show up to camp today. Today is the actual day Ram players are required to show up for camp, so Stafford could still arrive today. Stafford, of course, would like a contract extension and both sides have been silent. Another beat writer, Jourdan Rodrigue, pointed out that Stafford did take part in camps all spring, so there is little reason to believe he won't show up for the start of training camp.

The Rams have agreed to terms with QB Jimmy Garoppolo on a one-year deal.

Following a year with the Raiders, Garoppolo is set to join Matthew Stafford and Sean McVay in L.A.

This may have been the best place Jimmy G could have landed. It still doesn't mean he'll be taking any snaps following his two-game suspension but he would be an interesting streaming option if anything happens to Stafford.

Stafford will be an immediate boost to Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp, even if he's not 100%. As for his own fantasy projection, Stafford can be considered a streamer in a difficult waiver wire week.

Obviously a big upgrade for the Rams offense heading into Week 11. Brett Rypien didn't play well when we last saw the Rams in Week 9, forcing them to go out and sign Wentz as a more capable backup should Stafford not be able to go.
