IND WR Michael Pittman Jr. - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Michael Pittman Jr. caught eight of his 12 targets for 84 yards against the Patriots before the bye last week. Pittman isn’t putting up huge numbers, but he’s a steady producer who gets loads of targets. He’s averaging 9.8 targets per game this season and has double-digit targets in three of his last five outings.

This week, Pittman has an excellent matchup against a Tampa Bay defense that ranks 29th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. This is a great opportunity for the veteran out of USC to rack up another 10-plus targets and put up WR1 fantasy numbers. Expect a surprising amount of offense in this game, and Pittman should benefit. Start him.

IND WR Michael Pittman Jr. - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. New England Patriots (Germany)

Michael Pittman Jr. caught all eight of his targets last week against the Panthers and finished with 64 yards in a victory. Pittman has at least seven targets in all but two games this season, and has double-digit targets in five outings. His constant looks have catapulted him to become the WR12 in half-PPR formats this year.

This week, Pittman has a tough matchup against the Patriots. New England ranks 12th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers, and have been especially stingy against opposing WR1 options. He should continue to get looks and Terry McLaurin and Tyreek Hill managed to puncture the New England WR1 armor the past two weeks, but temper expectations in a difficult matchup. We have him ranked as a fringe-WR1 option.

IND WR Michael Pittman Jr. - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Carolina Panthers

Michael Pittman Jr. only had 40 receiving yards last week, but he caught eight balls and scored a touchdown, so it was a good fantasy day overall for the big former Trojan. Pittman had 13 targets as well in a wild game, his fifth double-digit target game of the season.

Pittman has a tough matchup against a talented Carolina secondary this week. The Panthers rank second in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. Temper expectations for the big receiver out of USC, but we still have him ranked as a low-end WR2 option. He gets enough looks each week to warrant fantasy consideration, regardless of matchup.

IND WR Michael Pittman Jr. - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. New Orleans Saints

Michael Pittman Jr. only caught two balls last week, but luckily one of them was a 75-yard touchdown. He finished with 83 yards and was targeted five times in a close loss to the Browns. Five targets has been the floor for Pittman this year, who’s averaging 9.3 targets per game, giving him fantasy upside in every matchup.

This week, Pittman has a tough matchup against a New Orleans defense that ranks 12th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. It’s a tough game against a talented secondary, so consider him a WR3 option, instead of flirting with WR2 territory like he would be in a better matchup.

IND WR Michael Pittman Jr. - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Cleveland Browns

Michael Pittman Jr. caught nine of his 14 targets last week for 109 yards. Pittman hasn’t found the end zone since Week 1, but he’s getting a slew of targets, so the numbers should come soon. He has four games with double-digit targets, including in both of Gardner Minshew’s starts.

This week, Pittman has an extremely difficult match against a Cleveland defense that ranks first in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. The Browns held the 49ers in check last week and have a ridiculous amount of talent on the defensive side of the ball, making Pittman a risky option. We have him ranked as a fringe-WR2 option and a solid WR3 or flex. He should still get his targets, but temper expectations in what could be a low-scoring affair.

IND WR Michael Pittman Jr. - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Jacksonville Jaguars

Michael Pittman Jr. had five catches for 52 yards last week in a Colts victory that was propelled by an effective ground attack. While Pittman hasn’t found the end zone since Week 1, he’s been getting a steady stream of targets, including seven last week. With Gardner Minshew at the helm in Week 3 against Baltimore, Pittman saw 11 balls thrown his way, and Minshew is more accurate than Anthony Richardson at this stage in his development.

This week, Pittman has a nice matchup against a Jacksonville defense that ranks 23rd in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. Expect a busy day for Pittman, who scored in the last meeting of these two division rivals. We have him ranked as a low-end WR2 option this week and he should be active in all fantasy leagues.

IND WR Michael Pittman Jr. - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Tennessee Titans

Michael Pittman Jr. had his first truly bad fantasy game of the season in an overtime loss to the Rams last week, catching just one of his five targets for 15 yards on the day. Pittman preceded that outing with three straight games with at least 11 targets, so fantasy managers should consider Week 4 to be an anomaly.

Pittman should get back on track in a great matchup this week against a Tennessee defense that ranks 29th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. Expect more targets to come Pittman’s way this week and a high floor in PPR formats. Start him as a quality WR2 option in all fantasy leagues.
