CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Green Bay Packers

Mitch Trubisky will return as the Bears starter in Week 12, as Nick Foles is sidelined with a hip injury. Trubisky wasn't that bad as a fantasy option to start the season, with three touchdowns and two touchdowns in the two games he started and finished. But Chicago's offense has struggled lately, and it's hard to see Trubisky saving it. Especially in a tough matchup against the Packers. Trubisky is a bottom-five quarterback choice in Week 12.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Atlanta Falcons

Mitch Trubisky turned in another decent performance in Week 2, finishing with 190 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. He's the No. 14 QB in fantasy scoring, ahead of guys like Deshaun Watson, Tom Brady and Drew Brees. And he has a chance to go even higher this week in a favorable matchup against the Falcons. Atlanta has given up the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks so far this season. We wouldn't start Trubisky over some of the more trusted options, but he's a solid streaming choice in Week 3 for those going that route. We have him as a top 20 option at the QB position.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. New York Giants

Mitch Trubisky got off to a slow start last week, but finished as a top 10 fantasy quarterback after throwing three touchdowns in the fourth quarter. While this doesn't make him a top 10 quarterback moving forward, the performance does make Trubisky an intriguing streaming option. He'll have a favorable matchup in Week 2 against the Giants, who just allowed three touchdowns to Ben Roethlisberger in Week 1. We have Trubisky ranked outside of the top 20 quarterbacks this week, but he could be useful as a cheap DFS option or a streaming QB in Week 2 vs. New York.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Detroit Lions

Mitch Trubisky won the starting quarterback job over Nick Foles, but he likely has a short leash this season. It would not be surprising at all to see Trubisky benched in favor of Foles at some point. Trubisky struggled last year, finishing 7 of his 15 starts with no touchdowns at all. The slimmer of hope, however, is Trubisky finished with three touchdowns in each of his two games against the Lions in 2019. With Detroit on the schedule in Week 1, Trubisky wouldn't be the worst streaming option available. But we hope you have a better option available to start the season.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Minnesota Vikings

Mitch Trubisky had a small stretch this season where he played well, but overall has been very poor. Last week he had no scores, which makes it six games he's played this season with no touchdowns. Out of his 17 passing touchdowns this season, 12 have come in four games. He's not a reliable fantasy option, and he'd a poor choice in your fantasy football championship, especially in a bad matchup against the Vikings.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Mitch Trubisky threw 53 times last week, which nearly tied his season-high (54). Chicago usually doesn't pass this much as Trubisky's only had 40+ pass attempts in a game five times this season. Despite throwing 53 times, Trubisky only finished with one score. But he did have 334 yards, his second 300+ game in the last three weeks. Trubisky has improved lately, but he carries risk because at any moment it feels like he can go back to his 0-touchdown ways. He gets an OK matchup against the Chiefs this week where he should be viewed as a below-average option.

CHI QB Mitch Trubisky - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Green Bay Packers

Mitch Trubisky has surprisingly put together a string of good games with his best performance coming last week against the Cowboys. Trubisky finished with 224 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. And on the ground, he had a season-high 63 yards with an additional score. He's now scored eight times over the past three games after scoring just five times in his first seven games. He still carries some risk based on his earlier production, but it's hard to ignore his improvements. He faces a Packers defense this week that he struggled against in Week 1 with no touchdowns and an interception. He's a middle-of-the-road option this week.
