49ers WR/offensive weapon Deebo Samuel will have an MRI on his groin today and while he’s expected to miss a little time.

Fantasy Impact:

The good new is, it’s not considered a major injury, the source said. Samuel was used more as a runner in Week 12 so this may not even create more targets for guys like Aiyuk, Sanu and Jennings. But, it may get Mitchell and Wilson more rushing opportunities. Wilson had just two carries while Mitchell went for 27-133-1 while adding five catches for 33 yards. Owners should probably figure on Samuel missing at least Week 13, with the hope of him returning for Week 14, or at worst, the fantasy playoffs.

Mohamed Sanu's snap share has steadily risen from 22% in Week 13 to 58% in Week 14 to 86% in Week 15 to 96% in Week 16. There's isn't much more to say that's positive about his fantasy prospects, as his 24 receiving yards last week represent his best total of the last four weeks. You'd do well to look elsewhere for DFS purposes.
