CIN WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 11, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11: Sanu vs Saints

Mohamed Sanu was one of the fantasy casualties last week against Cleveland. QB Andy Dalton had the worst game of his career and all the Bengals skill players suffered. Sanu is still a big part of the offense, even with the return of A.J. Green from injury.

We expect the Bengals to bounce back this week because they have a favorable matchup. The Saints defense ranks 23rd in aFPA to wide receivers. Sanu should be helpful to fantasy owners as a low-end WR2. Start him and hope Dalton doesn't stink again.

CIN WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 10, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10: Sanu vs Browns
Despite the return of A.J. Green, Mohamed Sanu still had good numbers last week with four catches for 95 yards and touchdown. Green's snaps were limited so as he gets healthier, we expect Sanu's numbers to take a step back.

Still, he has gotten confidence and QB Andy Dalton seems to trust him so this weekly numbers should be higher than they were before Green was injured.

The Browns ranked 15th in aFPA to wide receivers so the matchup is neutral. Sanu should help your team this week, especially with all the byes. He ranks a solid WR2 for Week 10.

CIN WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9: Sanu vs Jaguars
Mohamed Sanu had a great run while A.J. Green was laid up with a bad toe. Green might be returning this week which means Sanu returns to the second wide receiver on the depth chart. Big questions whether Sanu will still be a big factor with Green back or will he be the guy who used to have a big game here or there.

Against the Jaguars, Sanu faces a pass defense that is 12th in aFPA to wide receivers. Although Green might come back, he also might be limited which means we could get at least on more good week from Sanu. Start him as a solid WR2 for Week 9.

CIN WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8: Sanu vs Ravens
Mohamed Sanu has really upped his stock with A.J. Green out of the lineup. If Green is out again this week, Sanu will continue to be a fantasy factor. How much is up in the air? He was really good back in Week 6, but the whole Bengals' offense struggled last week.

Cincy's opponent the Ravens are 19th in aFPA to wide receivers so the advantage leans towards Sanu. If for some reason Green plays, Sanu's value takes a hit, but we see him as a solid WR3 or flex for Week 9.

CIN WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7: Sanu vs Colts
Mohamed Sanu finally stepped up and his patient fantasy owners were rewarded. Ten catches, 120 yards and touchdown is a good day. Now, part of the reason for his success is the absence of A.J. Green, who might not play again this week. If he doesn't Sanu's stock rises. But even if he does, Sanu could benefit from the breakout game from a confidence standpoint.

One obstacle for Sanu and all of the Bengals' receiver is the Colts defense. They are #1 in aFPA to wide receivers this season. That will push Sanu down to a solid WR2 for Week 7.

CIN WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 6, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6: Sanu vs. Panthers
Mohamed Sanu had a season-high 9 targets and got into the end zone last week for the second time this season. With A.J. Green banged up, Sanu now becomes the No. 1 receiver.

The matchup is decent against Carolina, but the bigger factor is going to be Green's absence. Sanu rates a borderline WR2 or a solid WR3/flex for Week 6.

CIN WR Mohamed Sanu - Week 5, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5: Sanu vs. Patriots
Mohamed Sanu is just doing what you would expect. He is averaging four catches a game with one touchdown. He is a solid No. 2 on the Bengals depth chart and will get you a few points weekly, but Marvin Jones should be back soon, impacting Sanu's status.

This week Sanu faces a Patriots secondary that has been good against wide receivers. Jones’ Week 5 status is now up in the air after tweaking his ankle in his first practice since his foot injury. If Jones is out Mohamed Sanu would remain a viable flex play.
