Cleveland Browns head coach Pat Shurmur and team president Mike Holmgren said they're excited to see running back Montario Hardesty play Thursday vs. the Philadelphia Eagles.

Fantasy Impact: 

And fantasy owners need to see Hardesty play, because he's the best potential handcuff to Peyton Hillis. Brandon Jackson showed last year he's a situational player, not an every-down back.

Fantasy Impact: 

Hardesty is coming of reconstructive knee surgery and is looking to be Peyton Hillis' backup, but probably has a bit to go before getting there. Former Packer Brandon Jackson is listed as the Browns RB2.

Cleveland Browns head coach Pat Shurmur said the team hopes to have running back Montario Hardesty practicing sometime next week.

Fantasy Impact: 

The Browns would love to give Hardesty some carries to lessen the load on Peyton Hillis, but is Hardesty going to be healthy enough to do that? It remains to be seen. If not, Brandon Jackson looms as the handcuff to Hillis.
