PIT RB Najee Harris - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Washington Commanders

Najee Harris continues to dominate touches in the Pittsburgh backfield even as Jaylen Warren gets involved a bit more than early in the season. Harris had 19 carries and 4 targets to Warren's 9 carries and 3 targets last week and Harris even showed some efficiency against a solid run defense.

Washington has been a bit of a run funnel lately so despite them ranking 18th aFPA against running backs, there are some big games out there against them. Harris is a back-end RB2 this week and I wouldn't be looking to take him out of my lineup anytime soon.

PIT RB Najee Harris - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs, New York Giants

With back-to-back weeks over 100 yards, we've seen Najee Harris play his best stretch of football in what feels like years. On the downside, Harris didn't have a catch on his lone target last week with Russell Wilson under center.

The Giants are 16th aFPA against running backs so the matchup isn't difficult, but it's not a smash spot either. While he's still splitting work with Jaylen Warren, he seems to have a hold on the dominant share. Harris is still a RB2/flex type play, but he should be in your lineup.

PIT RB Najee Harris - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs, New York Jets

Last week was Najee Harris' best game of the season and he'll look to build upon that with Russell Wilson under center. We'll have to see what the offense looks like with Wilson, but it might be safe to say he'll target running backs out of the backfield more than Justin Fields had.

It's easier to attack the Jets on the ground than through the air and that should benefit Harris, especially with the quarterback change. The Jets aren't blowing anyone out, especially not against a tough Steelers defense. I think Harris is a solid start as an RB2 this week.

PIT RB Najee Harris - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Las Vegas Raiders

Najee Harris had a few weeks without Jaylen Warren and wasn't really able to get going. Now that Warren is back, it is even tougher to trust him given he couldn't take advantage of two solid matchups.

Another good matchup for Harris as the Raiders are 28th aFPA against running backs, but it is just so hard to trust him. Harris is a back-end RB2 this week and the matchup alone is enough reason to start him. It won't feel good, at all, but it will be tough to find someone on your bench who projects better.

PIT RB Najee Harris - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Dallas Cowboys

Najee Harris was in a smash spot last week and like always, did not smash. In fact, he looked like the worst rusher on the field last week. He was out-produced by Cordarrelle Patterson before he left with an injury. That brings us to this week, as both Patterson and Jaylen Warren have already been ruled out leaving Harris essentially alone.

Aaron Shampklin took a carry last and will be the backup this week, but I'd imagine Justin Fields is more the threat for carries and touchdowns than Shampklin. Dallas is 29th aFPA against running backs so it is another fantastic matchup for Harris. He's an RB2 this week, but personally, I'm going to be worried again this week about his ceiling.

PIT RB Najee Harris - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Indianapolis Colts

It wasn't a great week for Najee Harris against the Chargers, but he did see more work in the passing game as Jaylen Warren was sidelined with an injury. Still, he wasn't very efficient on the ground or through the air so he will be reliant on touchdowns and volume through the passing game.

Even with the great matchup (Colts are 27th aFPA against running backs) and Jaylen Warren being out still only have Harris as a mid-end RB2 on the week. Checking in at RB18 this week with a great matchup and more work just speaks to how inefficient he's been this year. You're going to start him if you've got him, and he'll likely be a flex-worthy play due to volume, but you have to hope Justin Fields doesn't get going on the ground.

PIT RB Najee Harris - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs Los Angeles Chargers

After dominating usage in Week 1, Najee Harris ceded a little more work in Week 2 to Jaylen Warren. He still dominated the carries, but Warren did see a little more on the ground. Neither running back is getting more than two targets and it honestly might take Russell Wilson taking over at quarterback to see the passing volume of running backs we were hoping for.

The Chargers have been stopping the run and now the Steelers will be down rookie RT Troy Fautanu in the matchup. This is setting up for a letdown spot for Harris against the Chargers in what should be the first game they can't control the clock. Harris is a flex option, at best, this week.
