Scouting report

PHI WR Nelson Agholor - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Green Bay
Nelson Agholor has had double-digit targets the last two weeks but that has been out of necessity. With Alshon Jeffery expected to play, those targets will be scaled back. Agholor still has some value, especially since he will be the No. 2 receiver, but the Packers pose a different problem.

Green Bay is very good against the pass ranked fourth in aFPA to wide receivers. With the Eagles on the road, expect the passing game to struggle. The Eagles receivers rank very low this week. Agholor should stay on your bench for Week 4.

PHI WR Nelson Agholor - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs Detroit
With the top two wide receivers for Philadelphia down with injuries, Nelson Agholor showed he can carry the load as the top receiver. He caught eight passes for 107 yards and a touchdown after being held to two receptions in the opener. He was targeted 11 times which was second on the team only to Zach Ertz.

DeSean Jackson is out again on Sunday and it looks like Alshon Jeffery won't be available either so Agholor becomes the No. 1 against the Lions who are 14th in aFPA to wide receivers.

Pick up Agholor if he is available in your league as he can be used as a high-end WR3 or flex for Week 3.

PHI WR Nelson Agholor - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Atlanta
Nelson Agholor is a solid NFL receiver but it is a numbers game in Philadelphia where he is the fourth option in the Eagles passing game. He had two catches for 11 yards in Week 1. One interesting note was he played 80% of the offensive snaps (more than DeSean Jackson), but the production will be limited. Keep him on the waiver wire for now. Too many weapons in Philly at this time.

PHI WR Nelson Agholor - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs Washington
Nelson Agholor returns to Philadelphia but in a lesser role. He will be the fourth option in the passing game because the Eagles have so many offensive options. To get 60 catches again will be a reach for Agholor.

The Eagles play the Redskins in Week 1. Agholor has averaged about three catches and 45 yards per game against them. Washington was 17th in aFPA to wide receivers last year.

Agholor should remain on the bench or even the waiver wire for the opener. There are just too many weapons for the Eagles this season. Expect a couple of catches and small yardage.

PHI WR Nelson Agholor - 2019 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Nelson Agholor returns as the Eagles slot receiver after recording back-to-back 60+ catch seasons. His role is defined and he will see playing time. Agholor has proven to be an adequate receiver in the league and will perform if given opportunities.

Fantasy Downside
Agholor has started 26 games over the past two seasons including all 16 last season, but that will change in 2019 with the acquisition of Desean Jackson. There are only so many balls to go around and that will limit Agholor’s production.

2019 Bottom Line
The numbers are going to drop for Agholor and that has sent his fantasy stock spiraling. There are too many other targets ahead of him on the Eagles depth chart. His ADP of 188 is even too high as his role on the fantasy team is depth at best. There are probably better options for your team unless the Eagles suffer some injuries.

PHI WR Nelson Agholor - Week 19 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 19 at New Orleans Saints

Just how charmed the Nick Foles-led Eagles are will be tested this week, as the Super Bowl MVP and winner of four consecutive games travels to New Orleans where Philadelphia lost by 41 in Week 11. The Birds have the third lowest implied team total this week at 21.75 points. The Saints rank 11th in aFPA to WRs. Negative game script makes Nelson Agholor and Golden Tate decent dart throws, as they should avoid Marshon Lattimore in coverage, but both are outside top 10 WR options in the divisional round.

PHI WR Nelson Agholor - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Washington Redskins

The Eagles offensive starters will be full-go in Week 17, as Philadelphia hopes to sneak back into the playoffs with a win and Vikings loss. With Nick Foles at the helm, this offense has posted back-to-back weeks of 30 points or more. Vegas has set a lower implied total for Philly this week at 24, despite the Eagles being installed as 6.5-point favorites. Washington ranks just 20th in aFPA to WRs. Nelson Agholor saw seven targets last week but just five the previous two weeks combined. His inconsistency should be avoided.
