CLE RB Nick Chubb - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Nick Chubb's 48-yard performance against a porous Steelers run defense, which ranks 28th in schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed to running backs, now appears to be a best-case scenario as he prepares to face the Chiefs. Kansas City boasts the league’s top-ranked defense against the position, making this one of the toughest possible matchups for Chubb. Pair that with losing almost all of the third-down work to Jerome Ford, and you have yourself a low-end RB3 in Week 15.

Losing third-down work on a team that figures to be playing from behind more often than not isn't a good look for Nick Chubb, but he did find the end zone for the second and third times in Week 12. His ceiling is capped on an offense that is passing the ball far more with Jameis Winston under quarterback, and that figures to be the case unless Dorian Thompson-Robinson takes over. Chubb should be considered a fringe RB2/3 in Week 14.

The Nick Chubb ramp up continued up until the Week 10 bye, and we can imagine a full workload here against a Saints defense that has been pretty good against the pass but awful against the run. This could be the game fantasy managers have waited three long months for, and he should be considered an RB2, with upside for a return-to-form outing in Week 11.

Week 9 vs. Los Angeles Chargers
Nick Chubb found the end zone in Week 7, but he also gained only 32 total yards on 14 opportunities, following that up with 52 yards on 18 opportunities in Week 8. The workload is clearly a step in the right direction, but how sure can we be that this is the same Chubb of old? The Chargers run defense ranks 8th in RB aFPA and with a Bye Week on the horizon, we could see the team ease off the veteran back in Week 9. Consider him an RB3 with a good shot of finding the end zone.

CLE RB Nick Chubb - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Baltimore Ravens
Nick Chubb found the end zone in Week 7, but he also gained only 32 total yards on 14 opportunities. This is a decent matchup against the Ravens, but he will likely continue to get eased into his typical workload, which makes him something closer to an RB3 than an option we should be leaning on right now. The team's bye comes in Week 10 and he should be more valuable during our playoff runs.
