Scouting report

CLE RB Nick Chubb - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Cincinnati Bengals

Ever since Carlos Hyde was traded away, Nick Chubb has been a great back. He's led the Browns in rushing yards every game since the deal, and set a career high with 176 yards two weeks ago before Cleveland's bye week. He's also found the end zone four times in the last four games since taking over as a starter.

He should continue his success in a favorable matchup vs. the Bengals this week. Cincy is allowing the third-most fantasy points to backs, including at least 80 yards on the ground to the position in each of the last eight games. Chubb is a strong RB1 option in Week 12.

CLE RB Nick Chubb - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Atlanta Falcons

The Browns are feeding Nick Chubb. Ever since trading away Carlos Hyde, Cleveland has given Chubb 18, 18 and 22 carries, respectively. He's not a factor as a receiver (three receptions), but he's a goal-line threat (two scores in last three games) and is getting plenty of carries.

He gets a great matchup this week against the Falcons, who are allowing the third-most fantasy points to backs. Atlanta is giving up 4.8 yards per carry, which is the fourth-highest number in the league. Chubb can be viewed as a lower-end RB2 option in Week 10.

CLE RB Nick Chubb - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Nick Chubb finished with 75 total yards last week after putting up 80 the week before. He received 18 carries in both of those games, which have been his only two starts of the season. It looks like the Browns will continue to give Chubb plenty of opportunities after Carlos Hyde's departure.

He gets a very favorable matchup this week as Kansas City has allowed the most fantasy points to RBs this season. The Chiefs are giving up 127.6 rush yards per game, and have allowed the most receiving yards to opposing backs (551). Chubb only has two catches this season, so he likely won't be a major factor in the passing game, but it is worth considering.

Chubb can be viewed as a low-end RB1 play, or a strong RB2.

CLE RB Nick Chubb - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Pittsburgh Steelers

Nick Chubb is the man in Cleveland now that Carlos Hyde has been traded away. He looked good in his first main game, rushing for 80 yards and a score on 18 carries. He was a non-factor in the passing game though as he ended with no receptions on two targets.

He gets a tough matchup this week against the Steelers who have allowed the second fewest fantasy points to opposing backs. Oddly enough, the Browns have had the most success against Pittsburgh this season back in Week 1 when their RBs had 100 yards on the ground. Chubb is an RB3/flex option this week.

CLE RB Nick Chubb - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Los Angeles Chargers

As expected, Nick Chubb's big game was mostly just dumb luck. He didn't have a larger role last week, and can be ignored in fantasy for the time being.

CLE RB Nick Chubb - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Baltimore Ravens

Nick Chubb exploded last week for 105 yards and two touchdowns. The only problem is he had three touches all game. He just made the most of them, going for a 63-yard score and a 41-yard score. But he shouldn't be considered for fantasy purposes until he gets more snaps.
