SD K Nick Novak - Week 14, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 - Novak vs. New England
Nick Novak had a nice game last week, booting two field goals and four extra points in what was a tough matchup against the Ravens. This week, on paper, the matchup is a little more favorable as the Pats rank 16th in allowing fantasy points to kickers. Novak comes in tenth on our list and is on his home turf, so he makes for a low-end K1 option this week. He's missed just once this year.

SD K Nick Novak - Week 13, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 - Novak vs. Baltimore
Nick Novak booted two field goals and added three extra points last week against the Rams. It's been back-to-back weeks with two field goals, and Novak is 18-for-19 on the season. This week it's the Ravens and Baltimore is actually the top team in allowing fantasy points to kickers. Look for a better option this week.

Week 12 - Novak vs. St. Louis
Nick Novak was 2-for-3 last week, marking his first miss of the season. He's now 16-for-17 on the year. Novak gets an average matchup this week against the Rams at home. St. Louis ranks 12th in allowing fantasy points to kickers, but Novak comes in ranked 10th on our kicker list and usually makes for a solid fantasy option.

Nick Novak didn't put up a point back in Week 9 against the Dolphins. He should rebound and have a much easier time this week against the Raiders. Novak is our number-two kicker play as the Raiders are just 26th in allowing points to kickers.

Week 9 - Novak vs. Miami
Nick Novak had just three extra points last week. As expected, teams usually feel the need to score TDs against the Broncos and such was the case for the Bolts. This week, it's the Dolphins who are 16th in allowing fantasy points to kickers. It's a much more promising matchup for Novak owners, and he comes in ranked 11th on our kicker list.

Week 8 - Novak vs. Denver
Nick Novak was 2-for-2 last week and added two extra points. He remains perfect on the year at 14-for-14. This week Novak takes a hit in our rankings as the Broncos are ranked third in allowing fantasy points to kickers. The thinking here is a lot of teams realize three points won't help a lot against a prolific offense like the Broncos and the Bolts could find themselves in a similar situation this week. There are safer options.

SD K Nick Novak - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 - Novak vs. Kansas City
Nick Novak is the victim of a red-hot offense in San Diego. Novak has kicked eight extra points over the last two weeks but only two field goals in that span. He's 12-for-12 on the year in field goals and is again a K1 option going against the Chiefs who rank 24th in allowing fantasy points to kickers. He's been a solid play all year but owners would like to see some of those SD drives stall out once in a while.
