Fantasy Upside
Nick Toon was battling with Brandon Coleman for the Saints No. 3 wideout spot but he suffered a high ankle sprain in the team’s second preseason game and will miss 2-3 weeks. If Brandin Cooks, Marques Colston and/or Coleman were to get hurt, Toon would have seen his snaps increase.
Fantasy Downside
Toon was reportedly having a disappointing camp before suffering the injury. The New Orleans Times-Picayune reported there was "still a question” as to how much the Saints liked Toon even before he injured his ankle. With Cooks, Colston and Coleman firmly ahead of him on the depth chart, Toon offers little to no fantasy upside.
Bottom Line
Toon currently ranks as our WR99 and is going undrafted in 10 and 12-team leagues. Unless there’s an injury, Toon isn’t even a viable streaming option heading into the season.
