TB RB Peyton Barber - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. San Francisco 49ers

Peyton Barber was ... good? Barber easily had his best game of the season last week, rushing for his first 100-yard game (106) while scoring just his second rushing touchdown of the season. He's now had at least 60 yards in three of his last four games, so perhaps he's finally gaining some value in fantasy.

He does get a somewhat difficult matchup vs. the 49ers this week, however, so lower your expectations. Barber should only be viewed as a lower-end flex option vs. San Francisco in Week 12.

TB RB Peyton Barber - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at New York Giants

Another game, another average performance from Peyton Barber. The Bucs' back had 13 carries for 61 yards and no scores. Barber has just one rushing score on the season and has caught a pass in only five games. He's not a great runner, and he has a minimal role as a receiver.

He does get a good matchup this week against the Giants, who have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing backs. He's usually not a strong start, but against a favorable opponent, he can be viewed as a strong RB3 or flex play.

TB RB Peyton Barber - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Washington Redskins

Peyton Barber's mostly poor season continued last week as he carried the ball 11 times for 31 yards (2.8 yards). He's only caught eight passes all season, and has scored just once on the ground. He's getting playing time and touches, but he's just not performing well.

He gets a pretty tough matchup this week against the Redskins, where we aren't expecting much from Barber. He's not performing well, and the Bucs have been using several different backs in recent weeks. Barber isn't much more than a low-end RB3 play.

TB RB Peyton Barber - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Carolina Panthers

Six different Bucs had a carry last week, but it was Peyton Barber who led the way with 19 carries. He finished with a season-high 85 yards and scored his first rushing touchdown of the season. The Bucs appeared to be bringing in Ronald Jones for more touches, but he injured himself last week leaving Barber to be the bell cow.

He gets a tough matchup this week against the Panthers, who have allowed a rushing score to a back in three games this season. Carolina is also tied for allowing the fewest receptions (29) to backs this season, so don't expect much in the passing game from Barber. He can best be viewed as an RB3 or flex play this week.

TB RB Peyton Barber - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Cincinnati Bengals

Peyton Barber finished with 11 carries for 30 yards last week as the mess that is Tampa Bay's backfield continues. Ronald Jones and Jacquizz Rodgers are also getting touches, so it makes it nearly impossible for any one of them to contribute reliably in fantasy.

Barber is a very low-end RB3 or RB4 option against the Bengals in Week 8.

TB RB Peyton Barber - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Cleveland Browns

Seemingly out of nowhere, Peyton Barber finished with 100+ scrimmage yards and a touchdown last week. Before that performance, he was averaging 30 yards in his last three games and hadn't scored a TD all season. Hopefully his big game is a sign of things to come, but for now, it's better to be cautious with his value.

He gets a favorable matchup this week against the Browns, who are allowing 138.2 rushing yards per game (fourth-highest in the league). Cleveland is also allowing 4.7 yards per rush, which is eighth-highest in the league. Barber can be viewed as a decent RB2 option vs. the Browns.

TB RB Peyton Barber - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Atlanta Falcons

Peyton Barber started the year as the Bucs' main back, but his 3 yards per carry isn't inspiring anyone. Last game, rookie Ronald Jones out-touched Barber in the backfield, which means we could see more of Jones moving forward.

Expect Barber to continue to get touches, but neither he or Jones is really valuable in fantasy at this point.
