Scouting report

ARI WR Pharoh Cooper - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Pharoh Cooper caught four balls and was targeted six times last week against the Rams, but he only gained 26 yards. He has talent and scored a touchdown two weeks ago, but he’s at least third on the depth chart and the Cardinals haven’t been consistent with their WR3 production behind Christian Kirk and Larry Fitzgerald. He should stay on waivers in all formats.

ARI WR Pharoh Cooper - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Pharoh Cooper saw 30% of the team’s offensive snaps last week but it was largely due to the absence of Damiere Byrd from the lineup and he only caught two passes for 15 yards. Cooper has some upside in a nice matchup this week, but even if Byrd misses another game, he’s likely to finish at least fourth once again in snaps, making it hard to trust him. Fantasy owners should leave him on waivers.

ARI WR Pharoh Cooper - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at New Orleans Saints

Pharoh Cooper tied for the lead in targets last week against the Giants, but he still only saw four balls thrown his way. He caught them all for 29 yards. Cooper has four targets in two straight games, but his snap count continues to trail teammates Damiere Byrd and Trent Sherfield considerably, as he’s seeing only 31% of the team’s offensive snaps. Fantasy owners should steer clear of all Cardinals receivers not named Fitzgerald, as none of the also-rans have been able to distinguish themselves, even with Christian Kirk shelved.

ARI WR Pharoh Cooper - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at New York Giants

Pharoh Cooper has some big-play ability, but he caught only three passes for 16 yards last week against the Falcons, and he was on the field for only 35% of the team’s offensive snaps. While there is potential for him in a good matchup against the Giants, there’s no reason to suspect he’ll be any more likely to produce than the other secondary receivers in the Cardinals’ offense. Cooper has been the primary returner with Christian Kirk sidelined, so he has some value in return yardage leagues, but Cooper should remain on waivers in all other formats.

ARI WR Pharoh Cooper - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Atlanta Falcons

Pharoh Cooper has bounced on and off rosters for the past couple of months, but he caught two passes for 33 yards last week against the Bengals and out-snapped rookie Andy Isabella. Cooper is a threat after the catch and he can get downfield in a hurry, so he has some potential in deep best ball formats, but in the vast majority of leagues, his playing time is likely to be way too volatile to warrant any serious consideration for lineups. He should remain on waivers.
