Scouting report

DAL WR Randall Cobb - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs Los Angeles Rams
Randall Cobb had only two receptions for 43 yards last Sunday. Cobb has been quiet after a good mid-season run, but still is getting snaps and opportunities.

Cobb plays against the Rams who are 11th in aFPA to wide receivers. His numbers haven't been great lately so he should remain on the bench for Week 15.

DAL WR Randall Cobb - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Chicago
Randall Cobb is still staying involved in the passing game on a weekly basis. He had only three receptions last game which was his lowest total since Week 7. But Cobb has been one of the better No. 3 receivers in the NFL.

Cobb has a tough matchup as Chicago is ranked second in aFPA to wide receivers. That should limit the Dallas passing game and Cobb from having a big game. Keep Cobb on the bench Thursday as there are better options in Week 14.

DAL WR Randall Cobb - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs Buffalo
Randall Cobb has been getting a minimum of seven targets each game over the past couple of months. His fantasy value has climbed and last week he had four receptions for 86 yards. Cobb has been the most consistent Dallas receiver over the past month.

Cobb will face Buffalo who is ninth in aFPA to wide receivers. The unfavorable matchup as well as Cobb still really being the No. 3 receiver puts him on the bench for Thanksgiving Day.

DAL WR Randall Cobb - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs New England
Randall Cobb had his second straight 100+ yard receiving game and scored a touchdown for the second straight game. There is no doubt he is the hot receiver for the Cowboys right now and the veteran shows he can still make an impact on the passing game.

Cobb will face the Patriots this week and New England is ranked No. 1 in aFPA to wide receivers. Although Cobb has been climbing the fantasy rankings in recent weeks, and should be on your roster if he is available, this week he should remain on the bench mainly because of the opponent.

DAL WR Randall Cobb - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Detroit
It was Randall Cobb's best game as a Cowboy with six receptions for 106 yards and his second touchdown of the season. This happened because QB Dak Prescott threw the ball 46 times which gave Cobb and the rest of the Dallas receivers plenty of opportunities.

Despite a favorable matchup against the Lions this Sunday, we expect the 'Boys to scale back the passing game a bit and turn to the run more as Detroit's overall defense is not very good. Keep Cobb on the bench for Week 11 as we don't expect a replay of last week's results.

DAL WR Randall Cobb - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs Minnesota
Randall Cobb had a season-high six catches last week, but it only went for 35 yards. Cobb is playing his role in the Cowboys offense as the slot receiver. We just don't expect big numbers from the veteran. Keep him on the bench or waiver wire for Week 10.

DAL WR Randall Cobb - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at New York Giants
Randall Cobb only had two catches last game and was only targeted three times. He is averaging five targets a game, but Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup are the playmakers in the passing game and Cobb cannot put up numbers like them from the slot position. Cobb might have been depth at the beginning of the season, but he probably should be on the waiver wire for now.
