Scouting report

NE TE Rob Gronkowski - Week 20, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

AFC Championship at Denver
Gronk put up a monster 7-83-2 line last weekend, against a top ten aFPA matchup, reminding us Gronk is matchup proof. This weekend on the road against Denver, Gronk faces the friendliest fantasy matchup on the Patriots. Denver's defense is ranked inside the top eight stingiest in our aFPA to every offensive position, save TE, where they are ranked 22nd. Our top option every week of the season he was healthy, Gronk is our top tight end this weekend, with only four teams remaining.

NE TE Rob Gronkowski - Week 19, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 19 vs Kansas City
To the surprise of no one, Gronk finished the season as fantasy's top tight end. He enters this Divisional Round our top tight end option, again to the surprise of no one. In PPR, though, we are giving Travis Kelce a slight edge. I admit it's weird to see a name other than Gronk at that top slot, but Gronk is not far behind, if at all.

NE TE Rob Gronkowski - Week 17, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Miami
We come to week 17, and a healthy Gronk is our top-ranked option on the weekend at his position. An injury that cost Gronk essentially a game and a half is the only reason he wasn't our top option 17 consecutive weeks. While Week 16 was another "floor" game for Gronk, with a 4-86 line off six targets, he rolls into Miami this weekend with a motivated Patriots group seeking to clinch home field advantage, versus an already eliminated Dolphins team which has not been strong (18th ranked aFPA) versus opposing TEs.

As I've said almost every other week this season: If you have Gronk, start Gronk.

NE TE Rob Gronkowski - Week 16, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at New York Jets
Playing 94 percent of the snaps last week, Gronk put up a solid 5-54-1 line in Week 15. This weekend he faces a tough matchup on paper against the Jets, ranked third in aFPA to TE's. Gronk is matchup proof, however, and is our top option on the weekend. Start him with full confidence.

NE TE Rob Gronkowski - Week 15, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs Tennessee
Gronk surprised everyone in Week 14, playing over 60 percent of the snaps, catching all four of his targets en route to a nice 4-87-1 line. This reminds us all that when Gronk is in the lineup, Gronk should be in your lineup. One week healthier, we have returned Gronk to the top of our tight end rankings this weekend.

NE TE Rob Gronkowski - Week 12, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Denver

Gronk put up his second quiet stat line on the year, with a lowly 2-37 line in Week 11. Missing RB Dion Lewis and WR Julian Edelman, the Patriots offensive sparks faltered slightly in a tough matchup against a solid Buffalo defense, scoring a season-low 20 points. Then again, most teams would love to score 20 points in an off week, just as most non-Gronk owners would love to have "only" eight of ten TE1 finishes from their tight end. This weekend, the Patriots continue to play without a couple key pieces, and face a tough test on the road versus a stingy Denver defense. Nonethless, Gronk is Gronk and is our top tight end option on the weekend.

So that makes this the eleventh consecutive week Gronk highlights the top of our TE rankings. We just may see this streak extend to 16 games. If he's healthy, I'll copy this paragraph next week too. Simply put: If you drafted Gronk, your'e starting Gronk.

NE TE Rob Gronkowski - Week 11, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs Buffalo

A career long 76-yard TD capped Gronk's fantasy day in Week 10, putting him at 5-113-1 on the day off seven targets. Somehow with only one multi-TD game on the season, Gronk still has 20 percent more points than fantasy's TE2, and 100 percent more points than fantasy's TE10. This is the Gronk-esque season people who drafted him were hoping for.

This is now the tenth consecutive week Gronk highlights the top of our TE rankings. We just may see this streak extend to 16 games. If he's healthy, I'll copy this paragraph next week too. Simply put: If you drafted Gronk, start Gronk.
