SD WR Seyi Ajirotutu - Week 16, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 - Ajirotutu vs. San Francisco
Seyi Ajirotutu caught one ball for 17 yards last week. He was targeted four times. Ajirotutu likely gets another bump in targets this week with Keenan Allen out. Ajirotutu played 62% of the snaps last week after the team lost Allen, but he'll be a risky play again in Week 16 even if he's on the field that much. The matchup is a tough one on the road as the 49ers are fifth in allowing fantasy points to WRs. Look elsewhere.

SD WR Seyi Ajirotutu - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 - Ajirotutu vs. Kansas City
Seyi Ajirotutu didn't record a catch last week and only has one for the season but may get more snaps if Eddie Royal (ribs) doesn't play in Week 6. Ajirotutu would not be a safe fantasy option even if that's the case.

SD WR Seyi Ajirotutu - 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
With the release of Vincent Brown, Seyi Ajirotutu climbs onto the radar. According to SBNation, he’ll come in when the Chargers need big receivers. Last season, Ajirotutu pulled in three passes for 64 yards and a touchdown. Despite the limited production, Ajirotutu has been a favorite of Philip Rivers in previous stints with the Chargers. He's trusted in big situations he won the game with his final-minute catch in Kansas City last year and is a dynamite special- teams player.

Fantasy Downside
The special-teams role might be a concern. That aspect of his game is clearly the reason he made the final roster.

Bottom Line
He's not worth a spot on your roster as the season opens. That's not to say he couldn't move into waiver-wire fodder status under the right circumstances. But the circumstances aren't right at this point in time.
