HOU WR Tank Dell - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Indianapolis Colts

Apologies to those who rolled the dice on Tank Dell in Week 7. You were unfortunately given a big old zero in that spot. Dell was targeted four times but did not haul in a single catch against the Packers. With Joe Mixon fully healthy, the Texans don't need to rely on the passing game as much, so Dell's upside may once again be limited, even as the WR2. Dell had three catches for 40 yards in Week 1 against the Colts. He's a boom-or-bust flex once again this week, a week in which there are no teams on a bye.

HOU WR Tank Dell - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Green Bay Packers

Tank Dell saw two more targets than Stefon Diggs last week against the Patriots as Dell assumed the WR2 role for the time being with Nico Collins out. Dell finished with seven catches for 57 yards and his first touchdown of the season. The Packers rank 25th against the pass, so there's upside again this week with Dell. He's always a candidate to haul in a deep pass for a touchdown. Dell has Flex appeal this week.

HOU WR Tank Dell - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at New England Patriots

With the possibility of Nico Collins not playing Sunday, Tank Dell would move into the WR2 role, which has been a nice spot for Stefon Diggs to start the season. Dell currently ranks among our top 25 wide receivers for the week, assuming Collins is out, and taking into account Dell is facing a Patriots defense that ranks 25th in passing yards allowed per game (239). If Collins is in, Dell is his typical boom-or-bust flex play.

HOU WR Tank Dell - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Buffalo Bills

Tank Dell is set to return this week after missing last week with a chest injury but his role is pretty set for now as the clear WR3 behind Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs. Consider Dell a flex option this week and hope for either a few catches or a deep shot for a touchdown.

HOU WR Tank Dell - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Tank Dell caught five passes for 62 yards last week against the Vikings, his best performance of the season. He is dealing with a chest injury, however, so that is worth monitoring this week. He missed practice Wednesday. If Dell can play, he has a favorable matchup against the Jaguars, 29th-hardest on our matchup rankings for wide receivers. Consider him a boom-or-bust flex for Week 4.

HOU WR Tank Dell - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Minnesota Vikings

It's been a quiet start for Tank Dell -- four catches, 37 yards -- as he looks to have settled in as the clear WR3 in Houston. The good news is he has almost the same number of targets as Stefon Diggs -- Dell has 11 targets while Diggs has 12. Houston is banged up in the backfield so that could mean more opportunities for Dell. But given his boom-or-bust outlook each week, it's hard to trust Dell as anything more than a Flex at this point.

HOU WR Tank Dell - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Chicago Bears

Tank Dell was targeted seven times in Week 1 against the Colts but only hauled in three for 40 yards. Dell also had a couple of rushing attempts to boot. C.J. Stroud did look deep for Dell and also gave him a red-zone target. He'll continue to be boom-or-bust, but when he goes off, he can really go off. He may see plenty of Bears cornerback Tyrique Stevenson this week as Jaylon Johnson may focus more on Nico Collins. Dell is still worth a WR2/WR3 look this week.
