Scouting report

NO TE Taysom Hill - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Is Taysom Hill back to being the Swiss army knife for the Saints? With all the injuries they currently have, it makes total sense. He rushed nine times for 112 yards and three touchdowns last week against the Seahawks. He does have a touchdown now in three of the four games he has played in. The Saints may need him again, especially with Chris Olave uncertain for this week. Hill is definitely boom-or-bust, but when he's on, he is on. He's a low-end TE1 for us this week.

NO TE Taysom Hill - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Seattle Seahawks

Taysom Hill continues to be sprinkled in as the goal-line quarterback for the Saints and could again be the actual backup quarterback to Andy Dalton this week against the Seahawks. Hill has two rushing touchdowns so far, but that's his main source of fantasy scoring, so without them, he has almost no fantasy value. He's not a recommended start this week.

NO QB Taysom Hill - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs Panthers

Taysom Hill is back this week after being activated from the COVID list. As always, he has all the upside in the world thanks to his rushing ability. He's rushed 11 times in three straight games. That running ability alone makes him a low-end QB1. But despite all their woes on offense, Carolina has been one of the best defenses in the NFL this season and defensive coordinator Phil Snow will have some sort of game plan to stop Hill. Still, Hill is always a good bet to garner rushing yards and get a red-zone touchdown. He's our No. 11 QB this week.

NO QB Taysom Hill - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs Buccaneers

Another strong rushing day for the Saints quarterback. Taysom Hill had 73 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He has 174 rushing yards over the last two games. He may end up being a league-winner yet again. Hill did not play in the first meeting against the Buccaneers. He won't light up the scoreboard through the air, but those legs are fantasy gold. He's a borderline QB1 this week in a huge game Sunday night.

NO QB Taysom Hill - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs Jets

So Taysom Hill is about what we expected as a real-life quarterback on the field. But hey, this is fantasy football and Hill is going to deliver on the ground, as he did against the Cowboys with 101 rushing yards. So despite throwing four interceptions, he still produced a 20-point fantasy day. And that could very well continue against one of the worst defenses in the NFL in the New York Jets. That is, of course, if he can overcome his Mallet Finger Stay tuned on that front.

NO QB Taysom Hill - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs Cowboys

It turned out Taysom Hill had a partial tear of his plantar fascia which led to him not playing the last two weeks. He feels a lot better now and looks like he is going to get the start Thursday against the Cowboys. And we know how dangerous a healthy Taysom Hill can be on the ground and he has gotten better through the air as well. The Saints offense just flows much better with Hill than it does with Trevor Siemian. Hill is a high-upside QB2. Remember, even though the game is Thursday, it's a full week for the Saints after playing on Thanksgiving.

NO QB Taysom Hill - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs Falcons

Taysom Hill is back. With Jameis Winston done for the season with a torn ACL, Hill returns to the starting lineup. Trevor Siemian looked good in place of Winston, but Hill easily is the better option at this point for the Saints. We saw what Hill can do as the starter last season and we know he can beat you with both his arm and his legs. Hill is coming off a concussion but he should be good to go against the Falcons, a team he averaged about 233 yards through the air against in two starts last season. He's a top ten option this week as he usually is when he starts, especially when the Saints get near the goal line.

Update: Hill is not fully back, as Trevor Siemian will get the start, but Hill likely will still see some action.
