Scouting report

CIN WR Tee Higgins - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. New York Giants
In one regard, the game Tee Higgins had last Sunday was significant because he recorded double-digit targets for the first time this season. He also had his worst fantasy performance of 2020 with a season-low three receptions for 26 yards. Part of that can be contributed to QB Joe Burrow getting injured. That will affect all the Bengals skill players moving forward.

Higgins plays against the Giants who are 15th in aFPA to wide receivers. Higgins was a rising force in fantasy and that probably will have to be put on hold for now. New quarterback Brandon Allen will look to the veterans more and the passing game overall will take a major step back.

Start Higgins in standard leagues only as a WR3 or flex. If you are in a PPR league, keep him on the bench and watch how things play out with the new QB and Bengals offense.

CIN WR Tee Higgins - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Washington
Tee Higgins was the most targeted Bengals wide receiver for the second straight week and his production has been the best overall over the last month. Higgins has averaged 97 receiving yards over the past four games. He also has two touchdowns over the last three weeks and four touchdowns on the season.

The Washington Football Team is up next for the Bengals and are ranked fourth in aFPA to wide receivers. The biggest downside of Higgins is he still sharing targets with two veteran wide receivers but it seems QB Joe Burrow likes Higgins and will continue to get him the ball.

Be warned that Higgins did not practice on Thursday because of an illness. He is expected to play on Sunday and despite a tough matchup, he has worked his way up to a solid WR2 ranking. Start him for Week 11 in all leagues and formats.

CIN WR Tee Higgins - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Pittsburgh
Tee Higgins had six receptions for 78 yards last week. The rookie is a solid No. 2 receiver on this team and has been made the Bengals offense very dynamic. With fellow rookie QB Joe Burrow spreading the ball around, Higgins can put up No. 1 receiver numbers on any given week.

The Bengals face the Steelers who are 30th in aFPA to wide receivers. The one downside of the Cincy offense is there a lot of choice for Burrow and one of the top receivers can be left out although that seems to have been AJ Green more often.

Higgins ranks a WR3 or flex for Week 10. There will be some opportunities for him against a Steelers defense that has not been great in recent weeks.

CIN WR Tee Higgins - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Tennessee
Tee Higgins' targets dropped last week to five after averaging seven or eight in recent weeks. He caught five passes on those five targets and had 71 receiving yards and his third touchdown of the season. It shows you how much Higgins and rookie QB Joe Burrow are on the same page as they are having success even with the veteran wide receivers still getting more attention.

Higgins will face a Titans defense that is ranked 18th in aFPA to wide receivers. He has been a force all season with the five receptions against Cleveland being his season-low. He eventually will be the No.1 guy in Cincy although that might not be until next season.

Start Higgins in standard leagues as a WR2 and high-end WR3 or flex in PPR leagues. When he does get the ball, he gets results but the veterans A.J. Green and Tyler Boyd are still getting more targets.

CIN WR Tee Higgins - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Cleveland
Tee Higgins had his best game of his young NFL career last Sunday with six receptions for 125 yards. He was the second most targetted receiver last week and has not been drowned out by the two veterans. It has become a crapshoot on which receiver will be QB Joe Burrow's go-to guy, but now we see Higgins have the results which pushes up his fantasy stock.

The Bengals face the Browns who are 31st in aFPA to wide receivers. Higgins could have another big game, but as long as he stays in that 7-8 target range he has value.

Start Higgins as a high-end WR3 or flex. The talent is there and Higgins is probably the Bengals future No. 1 receiver. The matchup with the Browns could push him even higher than the current ranking.

CIN WR Tee Higgins - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Indianapolis
Tee Higgins tied for the most targets last Sunday with Joe Mixon, and that is a telling sign about his relationship with QB Joe Burrow considering there are two established veteran receivers on this roster. The results weren't bad with four receptions for 62 yards against a very stout defense.

Higgins will face the Colts this Sunday who are fifth in aFPA to wide receivers. He was actually on the field twice as much as veteran A.J. Green and more than de facto No. 1 receiver Tyler Boyd. Not sure if that trend will keep going, but it is again a sign the Bengals have confidence in the rookie from Clemson.

Higgins actually merits some consideration to start Week 6. It would be a low-end WR3 or flex, but there is value there. The matchup does scare us a little or we would be sold on a definite start for him.

CIN WR Tee Higgins - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Baltimore
Tee Higgins has seen the second most targets over the past two weeks and that includes more than veteran AJ Green. The Bengals think he can be an impact receiver in the future and are putting him on the field just below the two veteran receivers. Higgins had three total catches the first two games and has had 9 since then for 117 yards and two touchdowns.

Higgins will face the Ravens for the first time who are ranked 10th in aFPA to wide receivers. He is now fantasy relevant and even with a tough matchup against a division rival, we like Higgins in the lineup as a low-end WR3 or flex for Week 5.
