NYJ WR Terrelle Pryor - 2018 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside

In 2016, Terrelle Pryor had a 1,000-yard receiving season with Cleveland—the ability to be a legit NFL receiver is there. He will get opportunities in New York because the hierarchy of the receivers is still an unknown. Pryor is athletic and will make plays which is why the Jets brought him in.

Fantasy Downside

Injuries limited Pryor's playing time in Washington as he ended up with only 20 catches. RIght now, he is probably considered the fourth receiver in New York, so he will have to impress the coaches to get snaps.

2018 Bottom Line

Pryor could be a sleeper but still shouldn't be drafted. If he starts getting regular snaps, then he could be a waiver wire add.

WAS WR Terrelle Pryor - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at New Orleans Saints

Terrelle Pryor is not a fantasy factor with Jamison Crowder and Josh Doctson healthy.

WAS WR Terrelle Pryor - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Minnesota Vikings

Terrelle Pryor hasn't reached 60% of snaps in a game for three straight games. He belongs on your bench or off your roster altogether in Week 10.

WAS WR Terrelle Pryor - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Seattle Seahawks

The targets are too widely distributed in Washington at this point to trust any Washington wide receiver. That includes Terrelle Pryor, who is not rosterable at this point.

WAS WR Terrelle Pryor - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are 26th in our aFPA vs. WR rankings, but it looks like they will be getting starting corner Ronald Darby back this week. Pryor is a FLEX, at best, in Week 7, given his mostly inconsistent performances. He did, however, catch 6 of his 11 targets in Week 1 against the Eagles, but he hasn't seen more than 5 targets in a game since then.

WAS WR Terrelle Pryor - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. San Francisco 49ers

Coming off the bye, Terrelle Pryor faces a 49ers defense ranked 20th in our aFPA vs. PPR WR rankings. Hopefully the time off gave Pryor a chance to build more chemistry with Kirk Cousins after an inconsistent September. Pryor has three straight games with less than 6 targets, even with TE Jordan Reed out or limited. For these reasons, he's risky, but the matchup provides upside. So, consider Pryor a boom-or-bust WR3 this week.

WAS WR Terrelle Pryor - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Kansas City Chiefs

Is there a bigger fantasy draft disappointment this season among healthy players? Drafted as a WR2 in most leagues, we don't even have him as a WR3 this week against the Chiefs, as he'll likely get some coverage against top corner Marcus Peters. Pryor has also had back-to-back weeks with only 4 targets. You can't start him with any confidence if you have other options. Not yet.
