Scouting report

WAS WR Terry McLaurin - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Detroit Lions

Terry McLaurin had his best game since Week 6 last week as he finished with a nice 3-69 on four targets. He hasn't scored in four straight games, however, and his ceiling doesn't appear to be as high with Dwayne Haskins in the game. Still, he's been a fairly dangerous weapon this year and he gets a great matchup this week against the Lions. He hasn't been Scary Terry like he was to start the year, but he should still be viewed as a productive WR2.

WAS WR Terry McLaurin - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. New York Jets

Terry McLaurin hasn't been so scary lately finishing with 11 yards, 39 and 39 yards in his last three outings. He's also gone without a touchdown in each of those games after starting the season with a score in each of his first three games. His fortunes should turn around this week as he gets a great matchup against the Jets who are allowing the second-most fantasy points to receivers this season. But optimism should be limited as we haven't seen a whole lot from Dwayne Haskins this season. McLaurin should be viewed as a solid WR2 option in Week 11.

WAS WR Terry McLaurin - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Buffalo Bills

Terry McLaurin hasn't been as scary lately. He did lead Washington in receiving yards last week, but his 4-39 outing isn't exactly inspiring. His struggles will likely continue again in Week 9 as he gets a tough matchup against the Bills who are allowing the fifth-fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers. His big-play ability still makes him valuable, but he's not much more than a low-end WR2 or high-end WR3 this week.

WAS WR Terry McLaurin - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Minnesota Vikings

Scary Terry McLaurin ended his dominance with Case Keenum last week as he finished the game with a lone catch for 11 yards. Washington couldn't get anything going in the passing game in a rain-soaked environment. Expect a much better outing this week as McLaurin gets a better matchup against Minnesota. Washington's passing game may not do a whole lot, but McLaurin still finds a way to have production most weeks. He should be viewed as a WR2/WR3 option against Minnesota.

WAS WR Terry McLaurin - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. San Francisco 49ers

Scary Terry McLaurin continued his dominance with Case Keenum at QB. He finished with 100 receiving yards while every other Washington receiving option combined for a total of 66 receiving yards. He also caught the only two touchdowns of the game for the Redskins. He gets a tough matchup against the 49ers this week, who are allowing the fifth-fewest fantasy points to receivers. But San Francisco has allowed five touchdowns to the position this year, so there's some reason for optimism. Don't expect a huge game, but McLaurin can still be viewed as a solid WR2. We wouldn't recommend any other Washington wideouts, though.

WAS WR Terry McLaurin - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Miami Dolphins

Scary Terry McLaurin was the only Washington receiver who looked good in Week 5, finishing 3-51. Those were both season lows, and it was the only game this season where he didn't score a touchdown. But McLaurin should improve in Week 6 as he gets a great matchup against a bad Dolphins defense. He also gets Case Keenum back at quarterback. McLaurin was a great option before he and Keenum were injured, and with both healthy again, plus a great matchup, we like McLaurin as a WR2 option.

WAS WR Terry McLaurin - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. New England Patriots

Scary Terry McLaurin sat out with a hamstring injury last week and has been limited in practice so far this week. He had a great start to the season, scoring a touchdown in his first three games, but there's reason to be cautious in Week 5. We'll list three big ones. One: he's still dealing with a hamstring injury. Even if he does play, his full abilities may be limited. Two: Washington doesn't have a quarterback plan yet, and the team may go with Colt McCoy. Three: McLaurin is facing the Patriots defense which is allowing the second-fewest fantasy points to receivers this year. It's hard to bench McLaurin based on what he's done so far, but this week offers concern. View him as a WR3/WR4 option.
