TEN RB Tony Pollard - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. New England Patriots

Tony Pollard saw 20 carries last week against the Lions, pretty impressive given how the game got away from the Titans very early. If that's not a sign he's the workhorse, then what is? He finished with 94 rushing yards and 117 total yards. Tyjae Spears remains out so it's Pollard's show. He is dealing with an injured foot but he is expected to play against the Patriots, who are allowing the 11th-most rushing yards per game (133.1). Pollard is a solid RB2 this week.

TEN RB Tony Pollard - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Detroit Lions

Tyjae Spears (hamstring) is out again so it's setting up to be yet another featured day for Tony Pollard. Of course, he's been pretty featured even with Spears active. The worry here is that Sunday against the Lions goes similarly to last week against the Bills in that the game gets out of hand and Pollard isn't used much in the second half. But there's enough here to still make Pollard a solid RB2 or Flex.

TEN RB Tony Pollard - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Buffalo Bills

For the time being, this is Tony Pollard's backfield as Tyjae Spears has a hamstring injury. Pollard has scored in two straight games and has three games with at least 80 rushing yards so far this season. Buffalo ranks 22nd in rushing yards allowed per game so Pollard has another favorable matchup this week. Pollard has RB1 upside.

TEN RB Tony Pollard - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Indianapolis Colts

Tony Pollard got a week to rest after rushing 22 times for 88 yards and a touchdown. It was his second game with over 100 total yards. Pollard has become a pretty strong focal point of the offense so far and that should continue this week against the Colts, who are allowing the 2nd-most rushing yards per game to opponents. Pollard is a solid RB2 this week.

TEN RB Tony Pollard - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Miami Dolphins

Tony Pollard remains the lead back in Tennessee (50 touches to Tyjar Spears' 22) but only saw six carries in Week 3 against the Packers. He should see plenty more this week against the Dolphins who have allowed six rushing touchdowns through three games. Monday should be at least closer for the Titans than Week 3, allowing more work on the ground for Pollard.

Week 3 vs. Green Bay Packers

Tony Pollard has taken the lead as the RB1 in what we thought was going to be a committee in Tennessee. He has 41 touches for Tyjae Spears' 16. Pollard now faces a Packers defense that was allowed back-to-back 100-yard rushers to start the season (Saquon Barkley and Jonathan Taylor). We'll see if Pollard makes it three in a row but his usage is good enough to now warrant RB2 use in fantasy.

TEN RB Tony Pollard - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. New York Jets

Tony Pollard played 10 more snaps and had 11 more touches than Tyjae Spears in Week 1. He also had 12 carries to Spears' 4 -- Spears had 4 receptions to Pollard's 3. Pollard ended up having a successful debut with the Titans with 94 totals yards (82 rushing) and a touchdown. He gets the Jets this week, who looked out of sync last week against a 49ers team that didn't have Christian McCaffrey. Pollard will always have a limited ceiling as long as Spears is around, but he has enough to warrant a Flex spot this week.
