Scouting report

TEN RB Tony Pollard - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Tony Pollard is questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals with an ankle injury but head coach Brian Callahan believes he should be able to play. If he does, he'll face a middle-of-the-pack team against running backs in fantasy in the Bengals (16 rushing touchdowns allowed). Pollard is coming off another 100-yard rushing day where he didn't seem like he was battling an injury. Keep an eye on the injury report and the inactives Sunday.

TEN RB Tony Pollard - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Tony Pollard had a solid day against the Commanders, given the game got away early and the Titans had to play catch-up. Pollard had 68 total yards on 12 touches. He is still easily the lead back in Tennessee. Tyjae Spears, returning from a concussion, had just one touch in Week 13. The Jaguars rank 24th in rushing yards allowed and have given up 15 rushing touchdowns in 12 games. The Titans should be able to stay on-script more this week, allowing for more opportunities for Pollard. He's a solid RB2 this week.

TEN RB Tony Pollard - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Washington Commanders

With Tyjae Spears out with a concussion, Tony Pollard had a big day in helping the Titans score the upset win over the Texans. He carried 24 times for 119 yards, his second 100-yard rushing game and his 5th with 100 total yards. He also scored for the first time since Week 6. He has a chance to continue building momentum against a Washington team that are allowing the most rushing yards to running backs and rank 20th in fantasy points allowed to running backs. Spears could play Sunday, but Pollard is the clear RB1 right now in Tennessee.

TEN RB Tony Pollard - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Houston Texans

Tony Pollard rushed just nine times and had just 11 total touches for 29 yards as the Titans were stymied by the Vikings. Pollard should see more volume this week as Tyjae Spears is dealing with a concussion. That alone boosts his fantasy value. He's an RB2 with upside this week but he does face a tough matchup as the Texans are allowing the 4th-fewest fantasy points and the 9th-fewest rushing yards per game. If Spears is out, Julius Chestnut would be more of a spell back than the 1A/1B combo Pollard and Spears were.

TEN RB Tony Pollard - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Minnesota Vikings

Tennessee went back to a timeshare between Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears last week. Pollard played 29 snaps to Spears' 25. That was also caused by the foot injury Pollard suffered during the game. Pollard missed a few series, opening the door for Spears to gain some work. Pollard is good to go for Sunday but it's a tough matchup against the Vikings, who are allowing the second-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs. Pollard does still have flex appeal as the lead back for the Titans, but this could be back to a 1A/1B situation between the two.

TEN RB Tony Pollard - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Los Angeles Chargers

Even with Tyjae Spears returning, Tony Pollard is the workhorse for the Titans. He had 31 touches (28 rushes) for 154 total yards last week against the Patriots. But this week presents a tougher challenge. The Chargers have excelled this season on defense under head coach Jim Harbaugh, ranking 8th against the run. Pollard still has plenty of fantasy value, but he's more of a low-end RB2/Flex option this week given the matchup.

TEN RB Tony Pollard - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. New England Patriots

Tony Pollard saw 20 carries last week against the Lions, pretty impressive given how the game got away from the Titans very early. If that's not a sign he's the workhorse, then what is? He finished with 94 rushing yards and 117 total yards. Tyjae Spears remains out so it's Pollard's show. He is dealing with an injured foot but he is expected to play against the Patriots, who are allowing the 11th-most rushing yards per game (133.1). Pollard is a solid RB2 this week.
