Scouting report

DAL RB Tony Pollard - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs Philadelphia
Tony Pollard is not getting enough touches to have any fantasy impact. He only has seven touches over the last two games. Keep him on the waiver wire.

DAL RB Tony Pollard - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at New York Jets
For the second straight week, Tony Pollard hardly was on the field. The rookie has been rarely used and if the trend continues, there is no reason to have him on your roster. He has very little fantasy value right now.

DAL RB Tony Pollard - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs Green Bay
Tony Pollard only played 3% of the snaps on Sunday but the Cowboys say don't read into it. It was an off day for the Dallas offense and the flow of the offense dictated less need for Pollard said coach Jason Garrett.

Pollard is still the backup for Ezekiel Elliot and still has the same fantasy value. He is a good handcuff if you have Elliot on your roster, but not enough stats to be a major factor.

DAL RB Tony Pollard - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at New Orleans
The Cowboys had that good a day with both their running backs rushing for over 100 yards. Tony Pollard went for 103 and a touchdown and although nobody in the world had him in their lineup last week, it does show what the rookie is capable of doing.

With Ezekiel Elliot in the lineup, we cannot say start Pollard or even have him on your roster. The 100-yard rushing day probably will be his only one because it is just a rarity. Pollard should be on your roster as a handcuff to Elliot. That's where is value lies.

DAL RB Tony Pollard - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs Miami
As expected, Tony Pollard's playing time dropped with Ezekiel Elliot all good to go full time. His snap count dropped from 32% to 24% and that's about where it should stay for the season.

The Dolphins are next up and have a horrible defense so if the Cowboys get up early, Pollard could see more playing time based on Dallas resting Zeke. But it won't be enough playing time to make a fantasy splash. Keep Pollard on the bench for Week 3.

DAL RB Tony Pollard - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Washington
It wasn't a great start for rookie Tony Pollard who had 13 carries but for only 24 yards. He is unlikely to see that many touches the rest of the season as Ezekiel Elliot will be fully available. Really, the only value Pollard has is as a handcuff for Elliot. Otherwise, he has very little fantasy value.

DAL RB Tony Pollard - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs New York Giants
Tony Pollard was taken in the fourth round out of Memphis in the 2019 draft and he has already proven he can be Ezekiel Elliot's backup. It looked like he was going to be the starter Week 1, but Elliot signed a contract and reported to camp Wednesday.

Pollard will see touches this season and probably more this week against the Giants as Elliot is still getting up to speed. But it's not enough to warrant a starting spot in your lineup. He is a great handcuff for Elliot on your roster but that will probably be the only reason to have him at this point.
