Scouting report

GB TE Tucker Kraft - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at New York Giants

Tucker Kraft remains at the same levels of route participation as Luke Musgrave before his injury, but he hasn't had the same level of production. Kraft is still ceding about 18% of the routes to Ben Sims, but saw 6 targets to Sims' 1, although it was a touchdown for Sims.

That said, the matchup is a bit tougher for tight ends against the Giants than it is for running backs and receivers. The Giants rank 6th in aFPA against tight ends this season and between the lack of efficiency and the difficult matchup, it puts Kraft off the starting or flex radar this week. I guess if you are desperate in a 2TE league you could consider Kraft if you're missing Logan Thomas or Trey McBride, but other than that there has to be a better-projecting option somewhere.

GB TE Tucker Kraft - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Tucker Kraft may be an athletic marvel, but he isn't quite the target earner that Luke Musgrave was in the starting lineup. Kraft saw 88% of the tight-end snaps taking over for Musgrave in Week 12. He did manage to catch both targets for 15 yards and a touchdown though which was enough to reward those who played him in DFS or were desperate last week.

In a tougher matchup, it's a little tough to get to Kraft even in TE Premium or 2TE leagues this week. The Chiefs are sixth aFPA against tight ends this year and while Kraft is running the routes, he isn't going to see the targets Musgrave saw. He's a desperate flier this week, unfortunately.

GB TE Tucker Kraft - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Detroit Lions

With Luke Musgrave hospitalized with a "pretty significant" abdomen injury, Tucker Kraft is going to be stepping into the starting tight end role for the Packers this week. The second rookie tight end drafted by the Packers this year has been an afterthought, but Kraft had an absolutely elite athletic profile coming out of South Dakota State.

It's unlikely you had to dip down far enough to pick up Kraft in 1TE leagues, but in TE premium or 2TE leagues, Kraft is certainly in play. The matchup against the Lions is a solid one, 19th aFPA against tight ends, and while the volume won't be there he makes for a decent flier in a solid matchup.
