Packers TE Tucker Kraft placed on PUP list to begin training camp

The Packers placed Zach Tom and Tucker Kraft on the active/PUP list to begin training camp. They both tore pectoral muscles in the spring, but Matt LaFleur didn’t expect them to miss much of training camp, if at all.

Fantasy Impact:

It doesn't seem like this will keep Kraft off the field by the time the regular season rolls around, but Musgrave may have already taken over the TE1 role by then. With how many young, ascending wide receivers Green Bay has, this tight end competition is likely to negate either TE for fantasy purposes, though each will be on streaming radars if the other misses any time.

Falcons TE Kyle Pitts is dealing with a hamstring injury and will be limited at practice today, per HC Raheem Morris.

Fantasy Impact:

Nothing to worry about quite yet, as a limited Wednesday practice doesn't mean he won't be a full-go by kickoff. We'll keep an eye on practice reports over the next two days.

Adam Schefter believes Bengals making another push to get deal with WR Ja'Marr Chase

Adam Schefter said on the Pat McAfee Show: "The Ja'Marr Chase situation is tricky because he has two years left on his deal..I do believe the Bengals have made another push to try and get something done here..The question is will Ja'Marr Chase be willing to skip games."

Fantasy Impact:

Schefter pointed out the Bengals deal with Joe Burrow happened shortly after the opening kickoff of the 2023 season, and Schefter said it feels like something similar could happen with Chase this year. While he said it's going to be tricky, Schefter believes a deal will get done. Schefter also said a deal done this late into the process could mean Chase's snaps are limited in Week 1 and speculated maybe Chase just plays in the red zone until he gets back up to speed. He added the key is a Week 2 matchup with Kansas City.

Packers RB MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) gets day off

Packers running back MarShawn Lloyd did not practice on Tuesday after working earlier in the week, but head coach Matt LaFleur said that it wasn’t because of a setback with his hamstring injury.

Fantasy Impact:

LaFleur said, via Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com, that Lloyd had “two good days” and that the day off was part of the process of getting the third-round pick back to full speed ahead of Friday’s game against the Eagles. Lloyd would be a risky play even if he's active. Jacobs is the clear starter, but the team may go with Wilson as the RB2 depending how Lloyd does leading up to Friday night.
