Scouting report

NYJ TE Tyler Conklin - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at San Francisco 49ers

Tyler Conklin comes into the week as our TE18. While he did have some serviceable games last year, given the state of the tight end position, he's not someone that is going to get fantasy managers too excited this week. His best effort last season was seven catches for 70 yards. Conklin failed to find the end zone all of last year. In fact, he only have seven touchdowns in his six-year career thus far.

Ideally, you have a better option outside of double-TE leagues or some other strange setup.

NYJ TE Tyler Conklin - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Cleveland Browns
Tyler Conklin had four receptions for the fourth straight game which produced 36 receiving yards. One thing you can say is that his numbers have been consistent all season so you know what you are going to get. It hasn't mattered who the quarterback is.

Keep Conklin on the bench for Week 17. He ranks as a low-end TE2.

NYJ TE Tyler Conklin - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Washington Commanders
Tyler Conklin was the most targeted player for the Jets with seven. It did produce four receptions but for only 18 yards. New York was awful on offense getting shut out so if you did play Conklin, he was actually one of the more productive player with those numbers.

Conklin has a great matchup this week against a bad Commanders defense. However, the Jets offense trumps that so keep him on the bench for Week 16.

NYJ TE Tyler Conklin - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Miami Dolphins
Tyler Conklin had four catches for 57 yards. It was the most receiving yards he has had since Week 10. He continues to get on the field and targets despite the Jets offense struggling most weeks.

Conklin had four receptions for 33 yards in the first meeting with Miami this year. The Dolphins have been average against opposing tight ends in 2023. But we expect similar numbers again for Conklin this time around against Miami which ranks him a low-end TE2 and that means keep him on the bench.

NYJ TE Tyler Conklin - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Houston Texans
Tyler Conklin's numbers have been down the last three weeks just like the rest of the Jets skill players. The quarterback play has been an issue and even with them going back to Zach Wilson, it will continue to be one.

Conklin faces the Texans who are ranked 24th in aFPA to tight ends. Despite a favorable matchup, keep Conklin on the bench as a TE2 for Week 14.

NYJ TE Tyler Conklin - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Atlanta Falcons
Tyler Conklin had four receptions for 33 yards last week with new QB Tim Boyle. The veteran tight end will serve as a safety blanket for him and should continue to get his usual 5-6 targets. Those numbers plus the Jets overall offensive prowess keep Conklin a TE2. Keep him on the bench for Week 13.

NYJ TE Tyler Conklin - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Miami Dolphins
Tyler Conklin had two receptions for 18 yards last week as the Jets offense continues to struggle. There is little faith that a quarterback change will help. Conklin is a viable NFL tight end and the Jets like to use him, but the execution isn't there.

Keep Conklin on the bench as a TE2 against a below average Miami pass defense. Too many questions to think New York will turn it around on a short week.
