LAR WR Van Jefferson - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 versus Seattle Seahawks

Three straight games with a score is one way to become an integral piece of an NFL offense. Injuries and safety protocols are pushing Jefferson even higher. Jefferson will have to produce outside the end zone to not only help his cause, but help the Rams Week 15. Play Jefferson with ease and hope the touchdowns come with more yards.

LAR WR Van Jefferson - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Arizona Cardinals

The Rams wideout who had the best day in the first matchup between Arizona and L.A. was Jefferson. Since that Week 4 contest, Jefferson has at least six targets in six of eight games (six straight), and his yards per reception range from 6.33 to 31.00. Jefferson has morphed into a multi-level threat and will be in the WR2 conversation Week 14.

Week 13 versus Jacksonville Jaguars

No coincidence that in both games that Van Jefferson has topped 90 yards receiving he has a touchdown. The Jacksonville Jaguars are tied for 8th with the most 20-plus yard receptions allowed but are near the bottom in the league in 40-plus yard receptions. If the Rams use Jefferson as their deep threat in Week 13, he will remain a volatile option despite playing 93% or more of snaps in four of the past five games.

Week 12 at Green Bay Packers

Jefferson will have to show more Week 12 after a second straight week of mediocre results. The loss of Robert Woods meant more work for Jefferson even with Odell Beckham Jr. in town, but no dice so far. Until Jefferson can convert a few more of his targets into catches, his upside is limited.

Jefferson has seen at least six targets and 83.6% of snaps played the past three weeks and is a locked-in flex option going forward. Getting this type of production from a team’s WR3 has volatility, but Matthew Stafford is supporting three receivers and a tight end nearly every week.

Facing bad teams pays off. Jefferson’s 88 receiving yards Week 8 were his second-best of 2021, and the 31st-ranked defense against receivers according to aFPA is coming to town. Jefferson continues to be the go-to third receiver for the Rams, especially with DeSean Jackson gone and Tutu Atwell lost for the season. Jefferson is a locked-in WR4/Flex option during the bye weeks.

Week 8 at Houston Texans

Jefferson logged his third double-digit point fantasy week and his most snaps in a game this season Week 6. That may not happen in Week 8 against the Houston Texans in part because of their porous run defense and having so many mouths to feed in the Rams offense. Jefferson is a flex option with two teams on bye, especially with his ability to be a field-stretching option.
