TB WR Vincent Jackson - Week 5, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Carolina
Vincent Jackson hasn't done much of anything this season, so there's no reason to expect him to turn it around now. He's a safe drop in most leagues.

TB WR Vincent Jackson - Week 4, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Denver
We're three games into the season and Vincent Jackson doesn't even have 100 collective yards. His 9-for-99 stat line is something we'd expect in a single game, not three. As of now, there's no reason to like Jackson, especially in a tough matchup against the Broncos.

TB WR Vincent Jackson - Week 3, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Los Angeles
Through two games, Vincent Jackson has a total of six receptions for 62 yards with no touchdowns. This is a player who used to put up 100-yard games with ease. Now, it appears age has caught up with him, at least through the first two weeks.

The targets are still there for Jackson, so hope isn't completely lost. But he's still not a great option. On top of his lack of production is a difficult matchup against the Rams, so Jackson is nothing more than a risky WR4 play this week.

TB WR Vincent Jackson - Week 2, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Arizona
Vincent Jackson saw a healthy seven targets in Week 1, but only managed to catch two passes for 18 yards. We'll chalk it up as a strange game for him now, but it's good that he came away with as many targets as Mike Evans.

Jackson draws a difficult Week 2 matchup, but we expect him to perform like he normally would. Assuming he gets plenty of targets, Jackson should finish as a WR3 or WR4 play this week against Arizona.

TB WR Vincent Jackson - Week 1, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Atlanta
Vincent Jackson had some injury problems last season and put up numbers that aren't like him. He's healthy now, and debuted some of his playmaking ability in the preseason with a 4-78 game in Week 3.

He gets a difficult matchup in Week 1 against the Falcons, which could limit his production. Expect Mike Evans to be the primary target for Jameis Winston with Jackson getting No. 2 duties. We expect Jackson will put up low-end WR3 production this week.

TB WR Vincent Jackson - 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Vincent Jackson is a WR2 receiver when healthy and he's playing with a promising quarterback in Jameis Winston. He put up decent numbers in the 10 games he played, and you can't help but think they would have been even better had he not been in and out of the lineup so much.

He'll be starting again in 2016, and could be a good value, assuming he remains healthy.

Fantasy Downside
Jackson is another year older (33), which means we could start to see his decline. He's about to play in his 12th season, and there's no hiding the fact that it will take a toll in the upcoming season. We already saw health concerns in 2015.

Bottom Line
Prior to last season, Jackson had been one of the healthiest receivers in the league. It's possible it's a sign of what's to come as he ages, but you can't be scared off by injuries. He's not the player he once was, but he could be a good value later on his drafts.

TB WR Vincent Jackson - Week 14, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. New Orleans

Vincent Jackson is usually good for a few big catches a game to put him in the 50-70-yard range as a receiver. He has a favorable matchup this week against the Saints, however, so his production could see an increase.

With Mike Evans out of the lineup in Week 2, Jackson put up 54 yards and a touchdown on three receptions against New Orleans. He should be viewed as a strong WR2 this week.
