Fantasy Upside
Vincent Jackson provides a veteran presence in Tampa Bay for rookie quarterback Jameis Winston. He has been successful throughout his career, finishing with at least 1,000 receiving yards every season since 2008 (he had 248 yards in 2010, but only played in five games). He and WR Mike Evans will be able to again play off each other and have success as a pair.
Fantasy Downside
Jackson was an interesting player in 2014. He finished with 143 targets, which was best for eighth in the league, but had just 1,002 yards (23rd) and a measly two touchdowns. His touchdown total was his lowest since his rookie year in 2005.
Bottom Line
Jackson was heavily targeted last season, but could only do so much with Josh McCown and Mike Glennon as his quarterbacks. With Jameis Winston under center, Jackson will likely be a lot more efficient in catching passes. His touchdown total should also improve, making him a valuable option. He should be viewed as a WR2 or WR3.
