HOU WR Will Fuller - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at New Orleans Saints
Will ’19 be the year that Will Fuller is able to make it through a full season? He’s missed 17 games during his three-year career, but has been a dynamic player when healthy, scoring 13 times in 31 games. With DeAndre Hopkins drawing the attention of the opponents’ secondary, Fuller is in line for a big year, assuming he can stay healthy. Go ahead and start him this week against what was a suspect Saints pass defense last year.

HOU WR Will Fuller - 2019 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
HC Bill O'Brien recently said the Texans "feel really good about where [Will Fuller] is right now" coming off a torn ACL. O'Brien said he didn't want to put a date on the receiver's return, but he thinks there's a chance that Fuller could be ready for training camp. The team's actions suggest they believe that will happen. Remember, the Texans traded for Demaryius Thomas five days after Fuller was hurt. With Fuller's rehab on schedule, the former Bronco became expendable and Houston cut Thomas in February. The Texans' hopes are built around Fuller and Keke Coutee remaining healthy to complement All-Pro DeAndre Hopkins. Fuller has only played 11 games with Deshaun Watson. He has 11 touchdowns. We call that a "locked-in" connection. And in an offense as potent as this, that's considerable upside.

Fantasy Downside
Fuller missed six games in 2017 and nine last season so it's hard to count on him staying healthy for a full 16-game season. It's also fair to wonder if he'll hit the ground running in Week 1 coming off the ACL, which he tore in an Oct. 25 game against the Dolphins.

2019 Bottom Line
Watch his status through August before pulling the trigger, but Fuller's upside is so appealing that it mitigates the risk to a degree for us. That's especially true if he lasts into the WR4 range.

HOU WR Will Fuller - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Miami Dolphins
During the past two weeks the Texans offense hasn’t had to do too much in wins over the Bills and Jaguars. After recording only two receptions in the previous two contests, Will Fuller led Houston with six grabs and 68 yards in the victory at Jacksonville last Sunday, but hasn’t scored in the past three contests. With Keke Coutee out on Thursday due to a hamstring injury, Fuller should see at least a handful of targets, but is still a risky fantasy start versus a poor Miami defense.

HOU WR Will Fuller - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Jacksonville Jaguars

The Texans offense totaled less than 200 yards last Sunday versus the Bills and Deshaun Watson threw the ball only 25 times. Will Fuller was targeted just three times, leading to two grabs for 33 yards. After catching a TD in his first three contests this season, Fuller has been held to four total receptions for 48 yards the past two weeks. He should only be used as a flex option versus a Jacksonville defense that allows less than 190 aerial yards per game.

HOU WR Will Fuller - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Buffalo Bills
Will Fuller had caught at least one TD pass in seven straight contests with Deshaun Watson at QB, but that streak came to a screeching halt last Sunday night versus the Cowboys. Fuller was not only held out of the end zone by Dallas, but caught only two passes for 15 yards, despite Watson throwing for 375 yards in the overtime win. Keke Coutee has quickly become one of Watson’s favorite targets, which doesn’t bode well for Fuller owners. Buffalo is No. 10 versus aerial attacks, making Fuller a WR3/flex play this week.

HOU WR Will Fuller - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Dallas Cowboys

All he does is catch touchdowns—and a lot more. In the overtime win over the Colts last week, Will Fuller snagged four passes for 49 yards and his third TD—one for each game he’s been active this season. With Fuller removed from the game after re-aggravating his hamstring, rookie Keke Coutee played in his first regular season contest and ended up being targeted 15 times by Deshaun Watson. Be sure to monitor the injury report on Fuller's status, but now that Coutee is a part of the Houston passing attack, Fuller makes for a WR3/flex option on Sunday night versus a solid Dallas defense.

HOU WR Will Fuller - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Indianapolis Colts

After DeAndre Hopkins' fourth-quarter TD was called back due to a holding penalty, Deshaun Watson found Will Fuller for a six-yard score, which was part of a five-reception, 101-yard game for the WR. After missing Week 1 with a hamstring injury, Fuller has come on strong the past two contests, registering 13 catches, 214 yards and two TDs. On the road against Indianapolis, look for another solid outing from Fuller. Based on the numbers from his last two games, there’s no way he should be on your bench.
