Scouting report

TEN QB Will Levis - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Minnesota Vikings

In his return from a shoulder injury, Will Levis completed 18 of 23 passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns, both to Calvin Ridley. He also added 41 yards on five carries. The Titans are likely going to have to throw against the Vikings but Levis is still one of the more limited quarterbacks. He's not quite a quarterback you want to rely on this week, unless you're in a 2QB league and in a bit of a pinch with byes.

TEN QB Will Levis - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Indianapolis Colts

The bye week helped Will Levis recover from his AC joint injury. He was a full participant in practice all week and was confirmed to be starting by head coach Brian Callahan on Friday. Levis has struggled this season but has a chance to make some noise Sunday against one of the bottom defenses against the pass in Indianapolis. But given his early production, it's very understandable keeping him on the bench and waiting to see if he can turn the corner.

TEN QB Will Levis - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Green Bay Packers

There have been some ups but plenty of downs with Will Levis to start this season. There have been plays that make your jaw drop and not for good reason. Right now, even against the Packers, it's very hard to trust Levis as a fantasy starter maybe even as a QB2 this early in the fantasy season. Keep him on the bench as the Titans look to continue featuring Tony Pollard.

TEN QB Will Levis - 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside

Will Levis has his opportunity to show he can be the guy in Tennessee. He has a new offensive-minded head coach in Brian Callahan and new weapons in Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd along with the returning DeAndre Hopkins. Levis also shouldn't be running for his life as much with the addition of JC Latham via the draft. Expectations are low but there is a tint of upside with the former second-round pick.

Fantasy Downside

Levis is not going to offer much rushing value for fantasy. You also hope that the addition of Latham helps bring confidence across the offensive line to keep Levis upright.

2024 Bottom Line

Levis is very boom-or-bust in his second season. He threw four touchdowns in his first start in Week 8 last season but then threw just four touchdowns with four interceptions in his eight subsequent starts. With the additions of Ridley and Boyd, those numbers should improve. Levis could work his way into QB2 territory and have weeks where he can be a streaming option.

TEN QB Will Levis - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Houston Texans
Will Levis is tentatively expected to return this week after suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 15. Ryan Tannehill was serviceable in his absence, but the biggest impact of Levis' return is the positive effect it should have on pass catchers like DeAndre Hopkins rather than his own fantasy prospects. Since throwing four touchdowns in his debut, Levis has thrown for multiple scores just once. That will not work well for fantasy when he also does not bring any rushing upside to the table. Levis gets a positive matchup this week against the weak Texans defense, but he is still nothing more than a mediocre QB2 at best for fantasy championship week.

TEN QB Will Levis - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Houston Texans
Will Levis only completed 48.5% of his passes in Week 14 and threw a brutal pick six early in the game, but he led two late scoring drives to get Tennessee the win over Miami. Levis has shown flashes of his potential this season, but he is still learning the position at the NFL level and operates a firmly run-first offense. Levis has only thrown three touchdowns in five starts since throwing four in his NFL debut in Week 8, and his season-high for yardage is 262 passing yards. Levis get a great matchup this week against the Texans' porous pass defense, but he is not guaranteed enough volume to ensure a viable fantasy outcome. Levis is a QB2 due to a favorable matchup, but you can likely do better in single-QB leagues.

TEN QB Will Levis - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Miami Dolphins
Will Levis turned in another rough performance in Week 13. He attempted 33 passes but only completed 48% of them for 224 yards and a single touchdown. Levis is being tasked with a game manager role as the Titans attempt to pound opponents with Derrick Henry and take occasional shots to DeAndre Hopkins downfield. That sort of offensive philosophy leaves a lot to be desired for a QB for fantasy purposes, and Levis hasn't sniffed QB1 numbers since his debut in Week 8. Levis will likely have to throw to keep up with Miami's high-powered offensive attack this week, but the massive drop-off in efficiency since his debut takes him out of starting consideration outside of two-QB or superflex formats.
