Week 5 @ Chicago Bears
In the second game with Andy Dalton behind center and the first without veteran Adam Thielen available, Xavier Legette put together his first fantasy-viable showing of his young career. While running the identical amount of routes as Diontae Johnson, the two receivers tagged up to earn 56.4% of Dalton’s 39 targets, with both finding the end zone. The raw numbers for Legette’s 6-66-1 stat line look good on their face, but his usage is even more encouraging. The rookie was used all over the formation, lining up out wide on 65.8% of his snaps, 34.2% out of the slot, and seeing four of his nine targets coming 10 yards or deeper down the field.
Consider Legette a decent Flex play for managers dealing with Bye Weeks.
