Scouting report

KC WR Xavier Worthy - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at San Francisco 49ers

Xavier Worthy totaled just 28 yards in Week 5 against the Saints but did score his fourth touchdown (2nd rushing touchdown). Worthy and JuJu Smith-Schuster are the top wide receivers now for Patrick Mahomes but both will take a backseat to Travis Kelce. Worthy is a boom-or-bust option but the 49ers have been susceptible to deep passes this season, so Worthy has a chance to score on a long bomb. He's a WR3/Flex option this week.

KC WR Xavier Worthy - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. New Orleans Saints

With Rashee Rice now out as well, rookie Xavier Worthy will get a chance to step up as a top option for Patrick Mahomes. He had 73 yards and a touchdown against the Chargers and has a chance to build on that momentum against the Saints, who are allowing the 9th-most passing yards per game (233.8). Worthy is a flex option for now with explosive potential as the Chiefs' deep threat.

KC WR Xavier Worthy - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Los Angeles Chargers

In terms of production, Xavier Worthy is the WR2 at the moment for the Chiefs. However, he has lines for 2-17-0 in each of the last two weeks. He did see three rushing attempts against the Falcons. He'll have a chance to break out Sunday against a Chargers team that, while one of the better pass defenses, will be without safety Derwin James this week due to a suspension. Worthy is a deep flex play until we see him more productive, like he was in Week 1.

KC WR Xavier Worthy - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Welcome to the NFL, Xavier Worthy. If you didn't know how fast the former Texas wide receiver was, you do know. This kid can turn on the jets and then some. He already looks like he is going to be extremely dangerous with the ball in his hands. And now with Hollywood Brown out, Worthy has a chance to be the main deep threat for the Chiefs moving forward. Between that and his open-field ability, Worthy is going to be fantasy relevant and is currently a strong flex option.

KC WR Xavier Worthy - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Baltimore Ravens

The Chiefs needed someone to take the top off opposing defenses and Xavier Worthy will fit the bill perfectly. And with Hollywood Brown out this week with a shoulder injury, Worthy could see some deep passes his way early against the Ravens. One word of caution: the Ravens were No. 1 in deep passing defense, according to Next Gen Stats. It's also the first NFL game for Worthy so he may need some time to get adjusted. Consider Worthy a deep flex option for this week. It's understandable if you want to go with a more experienced option for Week 1 with Worthy playing on Thursday.
